As Billy, you set off to rescue Gizmo the Gremlin from Clamp Tower skyscraper, where Dr. Catheter plans to viciously experiment with him. Unfortunately, Catheter gets word of your plans, and mixes up a whole new batch of vicious gremlins. As a result, your mission is now one of destruction and avoidance. Elite's implementation of this is a five-level side-view action game, in which you run around avoiding or shooting the gremlins. Each level has a secret object which must be collected. Bonus items such as extra lives and time can be collected, as can improved weapons, and credits to spend on a new weapon after each level.

The top-down adaption of the 1984 film, "Gremlins" for the 5200, Commodore 64, and Apple II. Players have to capture all of the Mogwai. A different release of the same name using a side view was released for the Atari 2600.

In Gizmo's story, the cute Mogwai has to prevent Stripe from ruining Christmas for Kingston Falls by retrieving all the presents that Stripe has stolen. Gizmo uses a flashlight to kill gremlins after rolling into a ball and weakening the gremlins. He also must destroy any gremlins that get in his way. In Stripe's story, he comes up with a scheme to destroy his mortal enemy Gizmo and destroy mogwais. If playing as Gizmo, all the enemies are generic gremlins. If playing as Stripe, the player will instead fight mogwais.

In this game, the film's hero, Gizmo, attempts to find the gremlins and capture them all. In the meantime, the sinister Stripe and his army of 30 different gremlins decide to invade the town of Kingston Falls and try to transform Gizmo into a gremlin. The game can be played as either character. Gremlins: Unleashed! features 10 levels based in locations featured in the film, including Billy's house, the school laboratory, the department store, and the movie theater.

The Atari 2600 adaption of the 1984 film, "Gremlins". In this version, on the first screen, Mogwai are jumping from the roof to get at hamburgers on the ground. You, as Billy, must catch them before the hit they ground. If you get them all, it is off to the next, faster, level. If you miss eight, then you go to a shooting screen. On the shooting screen, gremlins are approaching from the distance. You must shoot them before they reach you. If one reaches you, you lose a life. After they are all dead, it is back to the first screen at a faster level. In later levels, puddles of water will divide the gremlins in two. A different version of the same name was also released for the 5200, Commodore 64 and Apple II.
