MotoGP returns with challenging tracks, different gameplay modes, and online play. In MotoGP 2, you'll race against the top 20 riders in the world at speeds of 180mph around turns and corners with your knee inches from the ground. It's up to you to find the perfect combination of rider and bike to suit your style. Races take place on 16 tracks in all weather conditions. Challenge yourself to master these obstacles in all six single-player game modes and in online multiplayer matches for up to 16 players.
For the first time in recent years, the game includes the addition of playable 125cc and 250cc support classes. MotoGP '07 for the PlayStation 2 had a reputation for emphasis on simulation in contrast to the MotoGP titles published by THQ, which have a reputation for arcade gameplay. MotoGP '06 is a Grand Prix motorcycle racing video game exclusively for the Xbox 360. In addition, minor gameplay changes have been made to the handling and braking to allow for easier player accessibility. Slight fishtailing with hard braking has been put in to give a better feel for the handling of the bike and to let the player know how effective their braking is.

The game allows the player to race in 5 game modes: Quick Race, Time Attack, Championship, Challenges and Multiplayer in a variety of difficulties and weather conditions. According to the publisher the game offers challenging weather effects, accurate physics models based on real data and sound effects recorded from real MotoGP bikes.

Early 2001, the arcade giant released Moto GP for PlayStation 2, and its runaway success quickly led to the research of a sequel. After considerable development time, Namco return with the second instalment. Moto GP 2 players can expect a glut of updates. New season statistics have naturally been included, and there are now 10 circuits to race on, all of which are genuine true-to-life tracks, bustling with interactivity. The graphics are noticeably better, cleaner, with improved textures and far fewer aliasing troubles. The gameplay is as polished as ever, with easy-to-learn controls, a steady learning curve, and AI that doesn’t make you want to tear your hair out... at least until you reach the later stages of the game. Moto GP 2 also offers the usual Championship and Time Trial mode of play. But, in typical Namco fashion, multiplayer mode is where the majority of the fun is to be had. In the entire history of video games, the ability to play the same game with one or more friends is still one of the most welcome features in a game. Moto GP 2 doesn’t disappoint in this regard. It’s frantic, it gets personal, and that’s what makes it interesting. A grand sequel, all in all. Well worth a look, even if you own the original.

MotoGP 3 is based off the 2002 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season, but with the introduction of four stroke bikes, the gameplay has some slight differences. The new 990cc 4-stroke bikes are faster, but tend to be a bit of a handful while the 500cc 2-strokes are less faster but slightly better to handle.
