Rengoku is a mobile phone version of Rengoku: The Tower of Purgatory. A new rengoku game made it for java phone devices. The game, compared with the PlayStation Portable releases, was simplified for those devices. Instead of a third-person view, it has an isometric view. The player only has 5 weapons available, including the melee attack, and there can be collected in the stages. The upgrade system only consist in a.d.a.m's parts that can be upgraded by points, which can be collected by killing enemies.

Rengoku 2 builds upon the first game with improved level design for more strategy, smoother control, exciting new fighting mechanics that allow for attack combos, and deeper customization. With network support for up to four players, more levels, an explosive soundtrack and character designs by Jun Suemi, Rengoku 2 is a deep and more challenging action experience.
