Scylla immediately breaks into Professor Rumbohr's house to steal his technology, improves it with her dark magic, and together with Don Croco and his soldiers hastily sets off into outer space. She wants to collect all the energy of the black diamonds to make a ray of pure evil that will enchant the Troll Forest's peaceful animals and turn them into her monster minions. It is up to Rumbohr, Hugo, Rat and Rut and the Professor to thwart Scylla's diabolical plan. Hugo needs to land on the different planets of Solar System in order to get the super fuel and a weapon for the job. With it the can reach Scylla, who is already on the asteroid, and battle her there to destroy her mining base, and then chase after the fleeing witch herself to defeat her before she can get away.
This Hugo franchise game is an edutainment game - its theme is about biology. Its gameplay is varied between stages. In one stage, you might be guiding a near-sighted swallow to eat some insects, while on another stage you'll be tasked to memorize all the shown animals in a correct order. Hugo: Black Diamond Fever is a 3D platform game in the Hugo series that was developed by ITE Media and published by Electronic Arts in 2001 for the PC and PlayStation. The evil Scylla is back and this time has found a way to make herself the most powerful witch of all time and take over the world. For this, she requires very rare black diamonds, which are to be found on the jungle island where the Kikurians live. She takes them all prisoner and forces them to work day and night in search of black diamonds. The elder King Kikurian asks Hugo the troll to liberate the slaves and stop Scylla's plot before it is too late. When Fernando arrives a letter from King Kikurian, Hugo reads it, but finds poor King Kikurian imprisoned in a cell and unable to help his people, and has absolutely no time to waste. Can Hugo free all the slaves and stop Scylla's plot?
The Quest for the Sunstones is a 3D platform jump'n'run game. Like Indiana Jones, Hugo takes on great danger only equipped with a whip. Hugo has to collect three magic Sunstones and place them in the right way and with the sun shining on them he will prevent Scylla and Don Crocos evil plan on causing death to the lovely and sweet creatures called Kikurians and destruction of their village.
