Die Bücher Luzifers 2 is the sequel to Kelven's Die Bücher Luzifers. The player is once again tasked to find the origin of all the demonic chaos happening, this time in New York City. The gameplay stays close to it's predecessor while improving the graphics and letting the battles themselve take place in the actual environment, instead of a special arena for each fight. Unfortunately the game was cancelled after it's demo release in 2003.
Die Bücher Luzifers is the second game of German RPG Maker developer Kelven and is yet another horror game. While influcenes of Silent Hill and Resident Evil do exist in this one, they're more subtile and the plotline and world do feel a lot more unique, then in the first game.
The story of the game revolves around Aaron, a man who suddenly finds himself in a world that is slowly dying. He can't remember where he came from and why he ended up in the place he is in. In an attempt to make sense of the situation, he explores his new world, looking for clues that will unlock the mysteries that surround him. As you make progress, the puzzles become more challenging and the events increasingly horrifying. There are also a couple of action scenes, giving you a break from solving puzzles.
Taking place somewhere in California, the game follows Sandra Richmont, who was traveling with her parents to visit their uncle. After an argument and a bathroom stop, her parents appear to have driven off without her. Thinking that her parents plan to stay overnight in the nearest city, Dusty Creek, Sandra heads towards there. However, after meeting two others who are stranded, she realizes that they are trapped and the city has some dark secrets...
