FTL: Faster Than Light is a single-player strategy game with roguelike design. The player commands a spaceship from a top-down view, managing systems such as weapons, engines, shields, and life support while recruiting crew and upgrading the vessel. The ship travels across procedurally generated sectors, jumping between beacons that present random events, stores, and enemy encounters. Combat plays out in real time with the option to pause and issue orders. Losing the ship or its crew ends the run and requires starting over, giving each playthrough a different layout and set of challenges.

The remnants of human civilization are threatened by gigantic creatures breeding beneath the earth. You must control powerful mechs from the future to hold off this alien threat. Each attempt to save the world presents a new randomly generated challenge in this turn-based strategy game from the makers of FTL.

Nearly every aspect of the game will be expanded with new content, including: New Mechs and Weapons: Five new mech squads and nearly forty new weapons. New Challenges: More enemies, more bosses, and more mission objectives that add additional challenge and variety to any run.
