Openrider is the last link in a pretty long chain of reboots of freerider, a bike riding game where players draw tracks and race on them. It features what is essentially an entire rewrite of the game engine that aims to keep the same physics and functionality as the historic versions such as CanvasRider and its invite-only successor, BlackHatRider, while improving performance and user experience, and adding modern features for racers and creators alike. The endpoints for database actions exist and can be accessed through a small API but UI has been left out of the scope of this project, and need to be implemented by the reader to enjoy the classic FreeRider experience. This repository is not endorsed nor approved by FreeRiderHD, the official successor to the FreeRider series of games. It is entirely written from scratch and does not borrow any assets. It is made out of love for the franchise and is not meant for commercial use. See LICENSE for more information.
Kaaarot is a free browser-based online brawler, including an E-sport aspect. The games are very short: 2 minutes. 4 players incarnating small animals confront each other and try to catch the Kaaarot, in order to temporarily transform into a monster that can eat the other players to score points. Once the effect of the Kaaarot has worn off, another Kaaarot appears, and off they go! Boxes appear regularly on the field: by taking a boxe, the player gets one item out of 4 randomly. Thanks to these items, he can defend himself and/or catch the Kaaarot before the others. The one who eats the most players wins.
A maintenance text adventure about a person living underground in a limestone mine and their work maintaining the local communication network that has sprung up there. Stemming from a (real!) visit to a decommissioned limestone mine that is now used to house RVs and boats over the winter (and a subsequent phone notification, under several hundred feet of rock, that the space station was visible overhead), Drift Mine Satellite imagines what a post-apocalyptic community life might look like among sleeping vacation vehicles. It is a utopian apocalypse fantasy, a forever-camping world narrowed to linear miles of RVs parked under a mountain, the people who live in them, and the systems that interconnect them, both social and material. The game was commissioned for Solar Protocol, a network of solar powered servers that connects from whatever server is in the most sunshine. It is programmed for the browser, with low-energy use and computational power front of mind. The entire story is told via spatialized text - no images, no libraries, just divs and textboxes and basic javascript.

The primary in-game currency is poudre de noisette (hazelnut powder). The arena mode features tactical 1v1 duels: each player builds a 20-card deck and battles using the game's signature Noisettes system, where the same currency serves as both health points and the resource spent to deploy cards. Every play leaves you more exposed to direct attacks. Five card types (Garde, Foyer, Sentier, Conseil, Arcane) offer distinct strategies, with synergy bonuses when three of the same type share the field.
