Gothic II is a role-playing video game and the sequel to Gothic, by the German developer Piranha Bytes. It was first released on November 29, 2002 in Germany, with North America following almost one year later on October 28, 2003. The game was published by JoWooD Entertainment and Atari.
Gothic is an action role-playing game set in a third-person perspective within a fantasy open world. The player controls an unnamed prisoner sent into a mining colony enclosed by a magical barrier. Gameplay emphasizes exploration without quest markers or a guided map, and the player character begins with no skills, learning them by finding teachers and spending earned skill points. The game features three factions to join, each offering different paths and abilities: the Old Camp provides access to Fire Mages, the New Camp to Water Mages, and the Brotherhood to early magic through worship of a being called the Sleeper. Combat involves melee weapons, ranged weapons, and magic across six circles of increasing power. The environment is highly interactive, allowing the player to cook food, forge weapons, and perform many activities seen in NPC routines.
The Odyssey takes place immediately after the unnamed hero leaves Khorinis and sets out for Myrtana. Meanwhile, the hero of the failure, Roland, resides in the paladins' sea stronghold on Athanos as one of the recruits. The war with the orcs bypasses this island, but despite this, our hero dreams of becoming a paladin and decides to share the main one with the greenskins. He decides to go out to achieve his dream, but not everything is as simple as it appears at the beginning. He has to go through procedures and a bumpy road, as well as many exciting and difficult cases. He becomes acquainted with the necessity of exclusion and their intentions. The idea is to establish Beliar's rule and enslave all humans or, if that is not possible, destroy them. Roland quickly realizes that what matters on his journey is not the destination, but the path he will take. So he goes by himself, strongly opposes the invaders and defends the independence of the people of the Kingdom of Myrtana.
Bumshak is a small modification about the titular orc, Bumshak, who climbs the ranks of the orcs. The entire mod takes place after the Nameless Hero sets out for Halls of Irdorath, across the Valley of Mines. The original lore of the story revolves primarily around news of the orcs' attack on the paladin's castle and their occupation of the entire island of Khorinis. The mod was created by three people (Frank Wedler) and quickly saw the light of day. The stat system has been removed - you don't gain experience points or level advancement, but you do get new equipment and healing potions. The entire mod has five chapters, and even after completing it, you can continue playing, exploring the Valley of Mines and talking to other orcs. Ukrainian, russian and english (made with SI but pretty good) vocie over is avaible.

You're prepared to do anything to climb the pecking order and strike a deal with Diego that lets you do things no digger has ever dreamed of... Story takes place in the Mining Valley on Khorinis. The story was inspired by the Gothic comic (Gothic: Der Comic). You'll learn what happened shortly before the nameless hero's arrival and why the Old Camp's situation in Gothic 1 is the way it is. The mod team aimed to preserve the Gothic 1 style. New features were added very sparingly, and those that made it into the mod were heavily adapted to G1. The rough tone between the diggers and the guards was also increased, reinforcing the feeling of a weak and defenseless digger fighting his way through a dog-eat-dog society.

The original version of the mod was released in 2015, the Definitive Edition introduces numerous improvements.
