Mulle Meck builds ships in this second installment of Gary Gadget series.
In the first video game, Bygg bilar med Mulle Meck, published in 1997, Gary builds cars from various parts and junk that he finds and drives through the town. You can find new parts at random on the ground while driving through the in-game map. You can also receive parts from Gary's friend Freddy Ferrick, the scrap dealer, who gives Gary car parts at random instances in the game. Freddy also often loses his dog which you can bring back to him. Gary gets orders from different people during the video game, which the player should fulfill. The first game is the only one which has been published in English so far.
Upptäck rymden med Mulle Meck is the fifth game featuring the children book character Mulle Meck (known as Gary Gadget in the US). After building cars, boats, airplanes, and houses in previous games, this time he is exploring space. Mulle has moved into the observatory of a relative and at the same time a meteor has struck nearby. The whole community has been affected by the space fever and everyone seems to have a related errand for Mulle. The gameplay is similar to other games in the series. First of all the player gets to build Mulle's space rocket. Mulle's shelves are filled with different thingamabobs that can be used as parts. The player simply picks the parts he wants to use and drags them onto the building scene. When finished building the rocket he can send it out to the different planets in the solar system. Mulle can leave the observatory and explore the surroundings with his car. He will then get to meet different people that have errands that he needs to do. It's also possible to get new parts this way. Other things that can be done is study the constellations and to read a dictionary full of space facts.
Mulle Meck finds his house in debris after a storm caused a tree to fall on it. He promptly starts to build houses. In this instance you can travel around the game map via both car and boat.
This port is a customised version of the original sponsored by the Swedish company Hemglass. Some items are already available, and the whole map is discovered from the beginning. As such the the pieces gotten from certain quests will be missing due to this. The compass part is missing and makes some areas compleletly inaccessible. A new icecream kiosk is added which is Hemglass branded. Any extra downloadable content that was available form the developer's homepage do not work in this version.
You are playing as Mulle Meck. And your mission is to build cars from various parts and junk that you find and drive through the town and help the townsfolk along the way.
The player gets to know that Mulle Meck has found the abandoned hangar of two air planes constructors and wants to try that trade. Again he receives his parts from Doris Digital. Gary flies to visit his friends and like in the previous episodes he gets orders which the player must complete.
