The objective of each stage is simple: Kitty must collect all of the items scattered throughout each level. This video game features gameplay that is a combination of dodgeball and the classic video game Pong. Four characters can be chosen from the select screen: Keroppi, Tabo, Pokopon and Hangyodon. Keroppi is the balanced character, Tabo has weak blows but in return he is the fastest to run, Pokyopon has the best defense, and Hangyodon has the strongest blows. For the single-player mode there are 30 different levels with different scenarios and "fields", and the difficulty increases gradually. Players can resume their games by using four combinations of passwords. In the multi-player mode there's a selection of 20 arenas.

The Hello Kitty ♥ Pac-Man video game was first released in 2017 as limited-time event for Pac-Man + Tournaments. It was later republished in 2020 as part of the World's Smallest Tiny Arcade line by Super Impulse. These are the features found in the Hello Kitty game that differ from the original arcade: All mazes have been changed in unique shapes and colors, such as one resembling a rubber duck. The ghosts have white bows on their heads. Some levels only feature three ghosts instead of four. The giant Pac-Man in the first intermission is replaced with Hello Kitty; this is the only time she actually appears in-game.
