Layton 7 was a multiplayer deduction game released exclusively for mobile devices in Japan. In June of 2018, Layton 7's official website went offline indefinitely, and the link was removed from the franchise's Japanese homepage. As of 2022, no supplementary details or updates have been announced, meaning that any form of further development and/or release at this point is highly unlikely. Whether or not the game was eventually scrapped has never been confirmed either, although the lack of news for almost seven years, sudden shutdown of the website, and removal from the main Layton site implies it very well could have been.
