Diddy Kong Racing Adventure

Originally released for the Sega Saturn, Sonic R is a racing game featuring characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Sonic and Tails came across an announcement one day about a competition called the "World Grand Prix" to determine the fastest in the world. Sonic initially showed no interest, but upon seeing Dr. Eggman's name among the participants, he decided to join. Knuckles wanted to settle the score with Sonic, Amy had unwavering belief that Sonic would definitely show up, and Eggman secretly prepared a few secret weapons. Who will claim the glory of the World Grand Prix?

Two knights, a strong bond, and a long journey. Take up the race for the rose, ride from village to village and take shelter before nightfall by any means necessary! If your bond is strong and your horse drifts well, you can be the recipient of the fabled rose. Luckily you brought guns!

Donkey Kong Racing is another canceled game, this one focusing on Donkey Kong instead of Diddy Kong. It would feature new Animal Friends such as a gigantic Rambi and a purple Enguarde. It was seen at E3 2001. After the buyout of Rare, the game was soon reworked into Sabreman Stampede for the Xbox 360 but, this iteration of the installment was also canceled.

Diddy Kong Pilot was the planned follow-up to Diddy Kong Racing, but instead focusing only on flying and nothing else. Due to Rare being acquired by Microsoft, Rare was already far at work into the game and instead of scrapping it altogether, the game was removed of all Donkey Kong references and was turned into Banjo-Pilot. There are two known very different versions of the game, since it was remade from scratch mid-development.

Pro-Am 64 is the name of a cancelled game by Rare, intended to be part of the Pro-Am series. It was presented to Nintendo after which it was later reworked into Diddy Kong Racing.

Originally named Kirby Bowl 64, the Japanese name of Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby's Air Ride was one of the earliest games shown for the Nintendo 64. The earliest screenshots showed Kirby rolling down hillsides as a ball, but with the name change came a change in gameplay style: Kirby now raced around on Warp Stars. The game was shown over a number of years before simply fading away without an official cancellation. The game resurfaced in 2003 as Kirby Air Ride on the GameCube.

Announced at E3 2014, Criterion was working on an untitled game featuring many types of vehicles. As of June 2016, EA confirmed the game was canceled in favor of having Criterion work on future Star Wars games.

Hugo: Bukkazoom! is a 3D racing game based starring Hugo the TV Troll, a popular cartoon character on Danish television. In this game Hugo is shrunk to the size of little green creatures called greenflies. He must race a kart through marshes, deserts and various landscapes. The circuits have checkpoints, upgrades and a scoring system open to different possible strategies. Both single-player and multiplayer games for up to two players are supported.
