A remastered collection of the first 3 games that has been in the news in various forms for years, though a canceled project was confirmed in 2019. Recently, January 2020, a PEGI rating appeared for the game listing the trilogy for PC and current generation consoles with the blurb: "Mortal Kombat Kollection Online is the original Mortal Kombat trilogy that MK fans always wanted. Upgraded art, gameplay, and online features provide an incredible experience that revive the "klassics" ..." The release date listed, January 21st, was obviously incorrect but most games leaked this way are eventually released.

The fighting gameplay style is similar to Super Smash Bros. with four-player multiplayer, as well as few other video games like Konjiki no Gash Bell!! Unare! Yūjō no Zakeru Dream Tag Tournament.

Capcom Fighting Jam, released in the US as Capcom Fighting Evolution, is a 2004 head-to-head fighting game from Capcom. It was originally released as a coin-operated arcade game for the Namco System 246 hardware and ported to the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. The game features characters from three different incarnations of the Street Fighter series, as well as characters from the Darkstalkers series and the CPS III arcade game Red Earth, with each character employing the fighting system from the game which they represent.

This is a mythologically-themed gladiator game with simple controls, allowing players to move left and right, jump, and attack. Players choose one of two human fighters, who must overcome eight terrifying and monstrous fantastic opponents (eg. dragon, wizard, scorpion-man) in the ring to win a tournament and rule the kingdom for one year. Between bouts, players can visit a store and upgrade their equipment, granting them different health, range and damage bonuses. A second player can join in at any time to challenge the current player, but only the winner can proceed in the tournament. This game is succeeded by Mutant Fighter.
