An expanded version of SD Hiryuu no Ken, a game from within Hiryuu no Ken: Twin (Flying Dragon overseas), was released in Japan only, adding more characters (such as Jack, Ryu, and Gofire from the Super Chinese series), items and a new gameplay mode. It also removed the more realistic "Virtual Mode", favoring the super deformed "Quest Mode".

Create your ideal fighting game using the customizable interface. Choose between RPG-style and "virtual" tournament combat. The game has over 20 different characters and 200 different items. Save your characters on a Controller Pak and play them against your friends! While the Western version calls the two distinct game styles as "modes", the original Japanese version calls them as "games" in the in-game options, and as "games" and "modes" on advertisements.

Kick Master is a 2D action platformer focused on martial arts and casting magic. It contains eight linear levels with a boss battle at the end of each level. It also has some role-playing elements, namely leveling, which makes the character stronger after every reached level.
Hidden Dragon: Legend, which is powered by Unreal Engine 4, is a Chinese-developed indie title that transports players to Imperial China. "Set in ancient China, HIDDEN DRAGON LEGEND challenges players to battle fierce foes, perform acrobatics to avoid obstacles and enemies, build their character through a deep, RPG-style skill tree and solve puzzles in the heat of battle. Players will utilize all their skills while engaging in hack and slash combat and unleashing stunning combos. To succeed in the game, players will navigate their way through tough enemies, powerful bosses and Metroidvania-style puzzles while building and customizing their fighter for their preferred style through an extensive skill tree. In the game world, competing factions vie to obtain a powerful object called the Dragon Cauldron, which grants inhuman powers at the cost of sanity and reason. When the player character finds he has been put under the spell of the Dragon Cauldron by a dark faction, making him a mere puppet forced to kill, he ventures forth to settle the score."
Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero is a story-driven fighting game that casts you in the shoes of Sub-Zero, and chronicles a series of events that occurred prior to Mortal Kombat 1. It is the first Mortal Kombat game to feature side-scrolling gameplay. Gameplay wise the game takes the Mortal Kombat familiar 2D fighting environment and turns it into a hybrid fighter/platformer game, where you must travel trough hazardous levels running and jumping around as well as fighting your way against both digitized and polygonal enemies. Sub-Zero's interface is the same as in every MK game, with the addition of a "use" and "turn around" buttons and additions such as an inventory, and a slight RPG twist in which you get exp. for defeating opponents, which translates into new techniques and moves to execute in the game.
This arcade conversion is a beat 'em up in which you (as Lee Wong) must rescue the village children from the evil Ryo Ken Oh. Many levels are horizontally scrolling, although with high ledges to jump onto and follow for a slightly different path. Magic urns containing improved weapons appear frequently. Most enemies are easy to attack and only need one hit to kill, although they come at you in large hordes. Once you get to the indoor sections you will find big enemies with the ability to kill you with one hit, in sections set on multiple levels complete with stairways.
Super Chinese World 2: Uchuu Ichi Butou Taikai is a Japanese-only action RPG developed by Culture Brain. It is the second SNES Super Chinese game, being a sequel to Super Ninja Boy which was released in North America. Contrary to its predecessor, it doesn't feature any traditional turn-based battles anymore, but a couple of platforming sections still remain. Jack and Ryu are now travelling between different planets to defeat some alien invaders, who kidnapped the world leaders. The battle system was also greatly improved. Jack and Ryu now have a lot of new attacks and even a few different skills (although they still share levels and items), they can turn into giant ninjas in order to cast the most advanced spells and it is possible to use weapons or spells without going to the menu. A fighting mode has also been added, allowing to play with many other characters than the heroes.
