G1 Jockey
(last 3 games)
Champion Jockey: Special is a horse racing simulator in which the player becomes a jockey and leads the racehorse to victory. Aim to be the world's No. 1 jockey by making full use of various actions! Special also features connectivity with the Nintendo Switch version of Winning Post 8, a contemporary installment of another horse racing series developed by Koei and mostly exclusive to Japan, allowing steeds and riders created in one game to appear in the other.
"Champion Jockey: G1 Jockey & Gallop Racer" is the newest horse racing simulation title from Koei-Tecmo. While not the first title to do so, the game combines creative input from the Tecmo and Koei development teams. The producer notes that the development team wants to present a "refreshing and real" game. Therefore, members of the team traveled globally to visit horse racing tracks in Europe. Japan's Nakayama Race Track, for instance, will be recreated as close as possible in the game. As the title suggests, players can enjoy traits found in either racing series. Gallop Racer stands as the Tecmo side while G1 Jockey forms the Koei side. Curiously, the naming for the intellectual properties are switched for the Japanese version, the title instead being "Champion Jockey: Gallop Racer & GI Jockey".
G1 Jockey 4 lets players take the reins and experience the feeling of being a top racehorse jockey. This fourth game in the hugely popular series introduces a new ranking system and abilities, as well a revolutionary analogue control system.
