Langrisser III

A remake of the first and second Langrisser games for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Originally released on the Sega Megadrive/Genesis, the first game was called Warsong internationally while the second game was never released outside of Japan. Langrisser mobile retains the classic turn-based strategic gameplay of the original series, with class suppression, terrain effects, and unique class trees for a customizable battle experience. Makai Kingdom is the fourth Nippon Ichi-developed tactical RPG on PlayStation 2 and it follows closely in the footsteps of the previous games of the same style, which are Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, La Pucelle: Tactics and Phantom Brave. Lord Zetta, the king of Netherworld, tried to rewrite the history of the land but didn't succeed, and in the process brought demise onto himself. Three evil Overlords appeared before Zetta and promised to help him in his quest to take over the land once more. The player takes control of Zetta and his army to return Netherworld to its rightful owner. The game mechanics consist of several stages in which the player must defeat the enemy or fulfill other tasks to advance to the next level. Fighting is done in turns, meaning that once the player has moved and attacked, it's the enemy's turn to move his troops one by one. When the battle is won, the next level becomes selectable. Between fights, you can improve your squad of fighters by buying better weapons, recruiting more soldiers and so on.

Prier and her brother, Culotte, are novices in the demon-hunting organization La Pucelle. They've just passed their final exams and are ready to do real work fighting demons and zombies, but quickly find themselves embroiled in a series of plots orchestrated by a rival church with dark intentions. The gameplay is played on a tactical map, as teams of up to six characters work to clear boards of enemies and dark energy. The unique "purify" command allows players to recruit monsters to their team and execute complex "miracle" energy attacks. The game was ported to the PlayStation Portable in Japan on November 26, 2009, as La Pucelle Ragnarok.

King Arthur: Knights Tale mixes an XCOM-style turn-based battle system with traditional RPG mechanics, including character development, choices that impact the direction of your campaign, and upgrading your home base of Camelot. The story follows Sir Mordred, who travels with a band of knights across Avalon in search of King Arthur. This is already an interesting twist on the classic legend, as Sir Mordred is King Arthur's nemesis, traditionally shown as the king's traitorous nephew. In this version of the tale, Mordred has actually mortally wounded Arthur, and is now stalking him through the isle of Avalon to finish the job on command of The Lady of the Lake.

Harukaze Sentai V-Force is an isometric strategy RPG similar to Front Mission or Super Robot Taisen. The game follows Natsuki, Mizuki, and Kagetsu, three sisters who are pilots in the Earth Defense Force. Each mission allows you to configure your character's weaponry, and as they fight, they will gain experience and level up. Before and after each mission, fully-animated cutscenes drive the plot forward, and sometimes they will appear at crucial points during a mission as well.

Magna Braban: Henreki no Yuusha is a Japanese-style RPG with party-based combat and random enemy encounters. The game's main view is an overhead map of a specific location, such as a town, where the characters move and can interact with NPCs. Upon leaving an area, the view changes to a larger overworld map showing locations of interest. The battles are viewed from an isometric perspective and the characters automatically engage and perform their actions. While the player does not directly control any of the characters, they can pause the battle at time and assign new strategies (such as melee, use long-ranged attacks or use Magic) to each character. Experience points and gold are awarded after each battle, the later of which can be used to purchase equipment and items.

In Dota Underlords, strategic decisions matter more than twitch reflexes. Underlords includes compelling singleplayer and multiplayer modes, and offers level progression with rewards. Play a strategic Standard game, a quick Knockout match, or co-op Duos match with a friend.
