Omensight is an action role-playing game framed as an action murder mystery. The player takes the role of the Harbinger, a warrior who appears only in times of great crisis, and uses a power that allows her to relive a single fateful day over and over. Combat is fast and built around a light attack, a heavy attack, a dodge, and a jump, with additional special abilities and the aid of a companion character. The mystery is unravelled by replaying events and joining forces with different allies rather than by sifting through evidence directly. It is set in the same world as Stories: The Path of Destinies, of which it is the successor.

Light combat and item elements are included, such as using an axe on doors and combining objects into makeshift tools. It shares its name with, and is loosely based on, the film of the same title.
