On December 7, 1941, a major part of the U.S. Pacific navy stationed at Pearl Harbor was assaulted by Japanese planes. Japanese fighters were destroying American aircraft on land and in the air, without giving them a chance for a counterattack. The furious battle of Pearl Harbor became the first in the sequence of gory sea combats. Now you can take part in all major Pacific battles of World War II. Pacific Storm is a mixture of Real-Time Strategy, war-game and simulator. All major and important sea battles of World War II, which took place in the Pacific Ocean, are included and you can play either for the USA or Japan.

Taking you from 1936-64 you are able to play as any Nation in the WW2 era with detailed Economics, Diplomacy, Research, Intelligence and of course Warfare in the three branches of Land, Air and Sea. The only thing that sets this apart from other games is the fact that this game does not use 'energy' points that most Facebook games use, which takes time, certain items, and/or money. Another rather nice feature in the game is cash. Players can use cash in buying mechs, expanding your army and more.

The classic board game from Hasbro was licensed by Philips Media and converted to CD-i by Capitol Multimedia inc, better known as CapDisc. This game was a USA exclusive release although various European CD-i distributors did import the game, especially true of UK based retailers.
