Rol Crusaders

A first-person Spanish dungeon crawler set during the Crusades.
In the age of the crusades, eight noble cavaliers founded the Order of the Temple to fight as crusaders in the name of God. They fought with ferocity, reaching great reputation levels among the Christian kingdoms. Their eagerness for discovering new enigmas made them to investigate about the Ark of the Covenant, which legends say it hid a great power on its interior. Innocent III, very thankful to the Templars, granted certain privileges to them, something that filled of hate the envious detractors of the Templar power. The worst of those enemies was the Holy Inquisition, which restored a terror reign, getting rid of the rivals on the bonfire. It raised false heresy accusations against them and started a ruthless persecution of the order. The Templars resisted the inquisitor siege, but in the end the order was destroyed. Belasco, one of the most powerful inquisitors, made a pact with the Devil in order to seize the secrets of the Templars along with the Holy Ark of the Covenant. Belasco wishes to have it for then offer its legendary power to Satan and to sink the whole world in a big Holocaust of eternal darkness. Only the Templar power will be able to end with the Devil, and you will be the arm that will destroy him.

Starting development in 2005 under the codename "Rapture", FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE was announced in 2009 for Windows and the PlayStation 3. It ran on Square Enix's Crystal Tools middleware engine, which was adjusted to suit the game's specifications. During development, the team carried over multiple aesthetic elements from FFXI while creating something that stood on its own. Due to several factors, the development was beset by problems that would later have drastic effects on the game. Attempts to bring the game to Xbox 360 consoles fell through due to disagreements with Microsoft about the use of Xbox Live. After its alpha test and a delayed beta test, the game went live on September 30, 2010, remaining active until its servers were closed on November 11, 2012. At launch, the game received a mixed to negative reaction: while the graphics and music met with general praise, other aspects were unanimously panned, including the gameplay, interface, and the general impression of the game being unfinished at launch. Critic and fan backlash caused Square Enix to pull subscription fees, indefinitely postpone the PlayStation 3 version, and eventually develop an entirely new version of the game called FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE: A REALM REBORN. The poor reception has had a serious impact on the FINAL FANTASY series, with both staff and company officials saying that the brand had been damaged.

Jeanne d'Arc is a tactical role-playing video game loosely based on the story of Joan of Arc and her struggles against the English occupation of France during the Hundred Years' War in the early 15th century. The game has an amount of historical accuracy when it comes to the cast of characters, and contains many who were contemporaries and allies of Joan of Arc. This contrasts starkly with the many fantasy elements of the game, such as characters possessing magical armlets that give the wearer special abilities, and the suggestion that King Henry VI of England was possessed by demons and used them to aid his armies in destroying France during the Hundred Years' War.

It received an English fantranslation by RPGMaker.net user Vittone on October 15th, 2022, more than twenty years later. Set on the isolated Confined Isle, the protagonist awakes without memories after washing ashore from the ocean. The island is said to be cursed so that everyone who sets foot on it loses all their memories. The game has the player exploring a series of interconnected dungeons in order to uncover the mysteries of the isle. Dungeons are intricate, full of traps and difficult battles. There are no random encounters, and every enemy icon on the map is colored according to the expected difficulty of the battle, so players can choose to try to sneak past dangerous enemies. The exploration is open-ended, with the player being free from the beginning to explore the island without hardly any obstacles except the perils of the dungeons themselves.
