KOEI beckons PS2 strategy gamers to return to second-century China with this eighth full release in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series. Following the style of the series, this edition is set amongst the confusion and chaos at the end of the Han dynasty. As in earlier games, the ultimate goal is to reunite the sundered nation, and players can take the roles of diverse characters as they work to do so. Strategy gamers can take control of up to eight different characters in a single game. Over 700 characters are available, 100 of which are customizable originals. Other new features include the chance for more than four forces to meet on the same battlefield and the ability to set the game's starting point to any time during the 50-year period between the Yellow Turban Rebellion in 184 A.D. and the death of Zhuge Liang in 234 A.D. In River City Saga: Three Kingdoms, the characters of the Kunio-kun series run-amok in the world of Sangokushi. The game, which follows the flow of the popular Downtown Special Kunio-kun's Historical Period Drama!, sees players cross countries and challenge the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Sengoku Basara Sanada Yukimura Den is a spinoff game focusing on the life of one of the series' main characters, Sanada Yukimura, released August 25, 2016. This entry marks the beginning of the Retsuden Series, which was abandoned after poor sales of this game. As such this title marks the last entry in Sengoku Basara series as a whole.

Sengoku Basara 4 is the latest entry to the Sengoku Basara series by Capcom and was released for the PlayStation 3 on January 23, 2014. The game focuses on the theme of Sengoku Genesis and centers around the beginning of the Sengoku Period. There is also an expansion to the game called Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi. For this entry in the series, character design was passed to Tooru Ookubo, chief designer for the anime series, instead of series standby Makoto Tsuchibayashi.

Dragon Ball (also known as Dragon Ball: Le Secrets du Dragon and Dragon Ball: Shenron no Nazo) is the second video game based on the Dragon Ball series (its predecessor being Dragon Ball: Dragon Daihikyou) and the first Dragon Ball game produced and distributed by Bandai. It is an action game developed by TOSE Software Company. It was released for the Family Computer on November 27, 1986 in Japan. Outside Japan, a graphically altered version released for the North American market in March 1988 under the title of Dragon Power, which divorced the game from the Dragon Ball licensing. A European version which retained the license, simply titled Dragon Ball, was also released in 1990 primarily for the French market. Shenron no Nazo is included as a bonus feature in the Japanese release of Dragon Ball: Origins 2 for Nintendo DS, and it is one of the games included in the game compilation J Legend Retsuden for Nintendo 3DS.

Samurai Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends is the first standalone expansion of the 2009 title Samurai Warriors 3. The game introduces two new modes, the "Original Career" mode which allows the opportunity to create original scenarios by completing missions and acquiring gold to increase the player's abilities and strength, as well as the series staple "Challenge" mode that has three challenges of varying objectives. It also adds new weapons, items, two new difficulty levels ("Novice" and "Hell") and stories for characters that did not have them in the original. The game also has online functionality which was not possible in the original.
