Squad-level wargame set in WW2 Pacific Theater that focuses on the battles of the United States Marines against the forces of Japan. Relive those glorious moments of the Marine history in their victorious advance from one island to another. From Guadalcanal to Okinawa, and even to the shores of the Japanese home islands, join the fight to ultimate victory. The Proud and the Few includes 46 Scenarios, including Wake Island, Tarawa, Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima, and others, covering all sizes and situations. Included are 23 unique maps ranging in size from 390 hexes to 77,028 hexes, covering many of the island hopping operations in the Pacific theater. The Order of Battles include US Army, US Marine, Japanese Army and Japanese Naval soldiers. Unit component, Order-of-Battle and Scenario Editors which allow players to customize the game. Map & Sub-map editors allowing map creation and any of the included maps to be "chopped" up into smaller segments for custom scenario creation. The Proud and the Few provides multiple play options including play against the computer AI, Play by E-mail (PBEM), LAN & Internet "live" play, and two player hot seat.
