A port of Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters. It is the first Harvest Moon game for a non-Nintendo console. Starting with a few rudimentary implements and very little money, players begin the arduous task of reviving their grandfather's farm and thereby claiming their place as its rightful heir. Players are given three years to achieve this goal. A year consists of four seasons, each of which lasts 30 days. Different crops can be planted each season, but before the seeds can be planted, the land must be cleared and then the soil tilled. Seeds must also be watered until the fruit or vegetable matures. Once the crops are ready for harvest, they can be placed in a shipping bin where they'll be collected and paid for. In addition to farming, players will interact with local villagers and partake in seasonal events such as the Tomato Festival and Fireworks Display. As more money is earned, players can expand their farm and begin to raise livestock such as chickens and cows.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a single-player survival game played from a third-person view and set in an open world. Players control a member of a hominid clan and manage its needs by eating, drinking, and sleeping while facing predators and other dangers in the wild. Exploring new places and being hunted can trigger a state of fear, which is offset by rewarding actions such as crafting tools and making discoveries. As the clan learns and grows, players unlock new skills through a neural development system and can switch between clan members, passing acquired abilities to future generations. Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon trademarks were registered thus leaking the next Pokémon game titles to the public. Pokémon.com confirmed the games would be for the Nintendo 3DS and released in holiday 2016, with a new world, new Pokémon, and new adventures. Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will be the first games in the Pokémon series to allow players to choose from nine languages to play in. In addition to English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish, players will now be able to play in both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.

The series is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a new game for the Nintendo 3DS. The title of the game is Bokujō Monogatari: Mitsu no Sato no Taisetsu na Tomodachi (Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons: Precious Friends From Three Villages). The game will have at least three locales: Lulucoco Town, Tsuyukusa Village and Wes Town. The culture of each will be completely different. Lulucoco is an island settlement, Tsuyukusa is a Japanese village, and Wes Town is a western-style town. The game will feature a protagonist - female or male - and the characters Noel, Miranda, Megan, and Frank from Wes Town.

Harvest Moon: Animal Parade offers more traditional Harvest Moon gameplay for the Nintendo Wii, and features a range of exotic animals for you to interact with.
