This is the 2005 release, not to be confused with the other two prior cancelled attempts at an adaptation. In order to coincide with the release of the upcoming film, developer Terminal Reality was tasked with creating a game to tie-in with the film. The team was only given ten months to finish the game, a relatively short time for a non-sequel console game (especially in 2005), as it had to be out in time for the movie's theatrical premier. Still, Terminal Reality rose to the task and managed to create a complete Æon Flux game in less than a year, due in part to the fact that the developer created much of the game using an engine they had already built for their previous title, BloodRayne 2, which cut down on development time dramatically. Nine years after the first ill-fated attempt and five years after the second, an Æon Flux game was finally completed and released to the market in November 2005.
During an emergency winter flight your plane crashes near an abandoned Antarctic research facility in the midst of a deadly blizzard. Cut off from civilization and with no hope of rescue, you must explore Sutro Station and scavenge for the means of escape while enduring blinding whiteouts and temperatures 100 degrees below zero.
Players assume the role of Anthony Willams, a former Hollywood agent turned homeless man in Los Angeles. During this time LA is ravaged by both natural and man-made disasters. Anthony only wishes to save himself, though through the course of the story he becomes an unwilling savior. The game's attempted tone is one of political satire, targeting all spectra of politics.
Fans will have the chance to take on the role of the eccentric lead character, Raven, who has a psychic ability to glimpse into the future and get herself into some crazy predicaments. Raven is joined by her friends and family, Chelsea, Devon, Eddie, Cory and Dad who help her get out of sticky situations packed over 20 levels and 6 environments. On her way to the season's premiere fashion show, Raven is diverted in a series of hilarious escapades where her adventures take her from school to the mall, off to the zoo, a science fiction convention and to a concert. Along the way, she needs to collect accessories to complete her fashion line, use her psychic visions to solve puzzles and learn to use the camera and hone her paparazzi skills.
