Rescuing girlfriends is a pretty common challenge in older computer games - why can't any of these ladies look after themselves? On this occasion Pearly has been kidnapped by Fransz Dandruff, so better make sure he's hair today, gone tomorrow. The gameplay is platform based, although the player may move down platforms as well as up to the next one. There are lots of baddies (drawn in a cutesy style) who need shooting and offer rewards. The seven levels are fairly short and linear.

Fantasy platform adventure released by Codemasters in 1989. Released on Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum, and unfortunately a planned Commodore 64 version was scrapped after the young programmer tasked with the conversion had problems fitting it into the Commodore’s memory.

Alter Ego: DreamWalker is the sequel to the 2011 action puzzle platform title Alter Ego. In this game, you have a phantom 'alter ego' that mirrors all your moves (either horizontally or vertically) from across the screen. You can switch between the hero and his alter ego a limited number of times in each level, in order to avoid enemies and reach otherwise inaccessible positions. The ZX-Spectrum version uses multicolor, a software technique to combine more colours than normally possible without colour clash.

In Tentacles: Enter the Mind you play as the adorable and fantastical creature, Lemmy, and tap or click your way through the layers of Dr. Phluff's outrageously bizarre mind. Princess Quest is a modern, original game for MSX computers between November and December 2011 by Óscar Toledo. He wanted to write an arcade game with smooth pixel-scrolling (a very difficult task in MSX). The titles was later ported to ColecoVision in 2013 and Intellivision in 2015.
