Donkey Kong Racing is another canceled game, this one focusing on Donkey Kong instead of Diddy Kong. It would feature new Animal Friends such as a gigantic Rambi and a purple Enguarde. It was seen at E3 2001. After the buyout of Rare, the game was soon reworked into Sabreman Stampede for the Xbox 360 but, this iteration of the installment was also canceled.

Diddy Kong Racing is set on Timber's Island and revolves around Diddy Kong and his friends' attempt to defeat the intergalactic antagonist, a wizarding pig named Wizpig, through winning a series of races. The player can take control of any of the featured characters throughout the game. Diddy Kong Racing features five worlds with four racetracks each, and the ability to drive a car, hovercraft, or pilot an aeroplane.

Diddy Kong Racing DS: Timber's Balloon Pop was an online Flash-powered advergame released by Nintendo to promote Diddy Kong Racing DS. It was listed along with other Nintendo-related web advergames in the Nintendo Arcade section of Nintendo's official website. The player takes control of Timber, with Diddy Kong himself only making a cameo in the introductory screen. A mugshot of Wizpig is used as the game's icon in the Nintendo Arcade, though he is not present in the game.

Diddy Kong Pilot was the planned follow-up to Diddy Kong Racing, but instead focusing only on flying and nothing else. Due to Rare being acquired by Microsoft, Rare was already far at work into the game and instead of scrapping it altogether, the game was removed of all Donkey Kong references and was turned into Banjo-Pilot. There are two known very different versions of the game, since it was remade from scratch mid-development.
