Episode Ardyn will have a short anime prologue released before the DLC to introduce the story leading up to it. "EPISODE ARDYN offers players a chance to step into the role of FINAL FANTASY XV’s main antagonist. Set before the events of FINAL FANTASY XV, players will learn more about Ardyn’s backstory in a story of death and restoration."

A mobile MMORPG spin-off of Final Fantasy XV that will explore and add new areas. It is planned as an alternative version of the original game starting as Noctis begins his journey, allowing them to expand on or alter parts of the story. It is planned to release in China first, through the publisher Oriental Pearl, before being released globally. It is being developed by JSC and GAEA.
