Medalots (parts) and medals that will appear in "2" have been largely renewed, and the previous medalot and its successor medalot were limited to the medalot used by specific characters and the hidden medalot of the previous work. On the other hand, new actions such as first aid and posture destruction were added, and the variation of parts was greatly expanded compared to the previous work. The story is set in an underground city, an undersea city, an aerial city, as well as the universe and the moon, and the story is the core of the series, which delves into the origin of medalot.

Medarot 8 is the eighth main installment in the Medarot series. The game features a new cast of characters and over 200 Medarots to collect. Like previous games, it was released in Kabuto and Kuwagata versions where the player starts with Metabee or Rokusho, respectively. The story follows a new protagonist named Salt and his adventures as part of the Laurel Detective Bureau, which investigates Medarot-related crimes.

Medarot Dual is an arena-action spinoff of the Medabots series. Like most Medabots games, Dual is split into two separate versions.

Medarot 5 follows the adventures of Koishimaru Tensan, who has recently moved to the small town of Susutake. Koishimaru gets a new Medarotch and meets a boy named Yamato Shijimi, but his Medarotch breaks after he gets pushed into cow manure. He later finds an abandoned Medarotch and Medarot Chrotojil inside of a tree and is forced to activate them in a sudden Robottle.

Medarot G is a 2D action game released in 2002 for the Game Boy Advance. It was the first Medarot action game to be released in Japan. In the Kabuto version the player starts with Dichotom. The game mainly features characters and Medarots from Medarot 5, but some major characters from Medarot 2 also make an appearance. The gameplay and battle system were also used in Medabots AX, which was released in North America a month earlier.
