Real Soccer 2010 is the seventh entry in Gameloft's annual series of mobile football games. Like with previous releases the game is played from an isometric bird's eye view. The gameplay works the same as before and has the same controls with the same moves being possible to do. This includes performing lobs, flip-flap tricks and one-two passing.

Real Soccer 2008 is the fifth entry in Gameloft's annual series of mobile football games. The gameplay in this edition is mostly identical to the previous iteration. It is played from an isometric birds eye view and has the same controls with the same moves being possible to do. This includes performing lobs, flip-flap tricks and one-two passing. Like before the game has a FIFPRO licence which means that it features real life players but it does not have any real team or competition names. In addition to the common friendlies, cups and leagues the game adds two new game modes. There is the Road to 2008 which involves qualifying for and competing in the Euro 2008 and there is a challenge mode where the player has to complete objectives. For example, the first challenge is the World Cup 2006 final and the player takes control of France after Zinedine Zidane is sent off with the objective of winning the final.

The Real Soccer series started in the mid-2000s with Real Soccer 2004, which was free on some mobile phones. As of 2016, a new installment of the series has been published every year. The games feature both national teams and local clubs, and allow the player to play in various "real-life" cups. Real Football 2008 was the first in the series to be published on more than just mobile phones, as a Nintendo DS version was also produced. Real Soccer 2008 3D is the third 3D game in the Real Football series but the first one that is fully 3D with polygonal player models and stadia. Next to the new graphics the game features similar content and mechanics to the 2D version. The view is still from the side line like in the previous 3D versions but it features a lateral camera that slightly rotates. The replay system is also more advanced with it being possible to rotate the camera and watch the action from different angles. The 3D version has the same game modes as the 2D version. This includes friendlies, cups and leagues as well as the new Road to 2008 and challenge modes. Road to 2008 involves qualifying for and competing in the Euro 2008 while the challenge mode is made up of a number of real life football scenarios where the player has to complete objectives. The Nintendo DS version has some differences from the mobile version. It has a multiplayer mode but lacks the challenge mode. It also adds some extra gameplay features that make us of the DS functionalities. It is possible to use the microphone to yell at referee and thereby influence his decisions while the stylus is used on the touch screen when taking penalties.
