Hi, I am Misako of Nekketsu High. I am the manager of our local soccer team. Finally, we can prove that Nekketsu FC is the greatest team in the world. After Nekketsu FC was formed, I was supposed to lead the team to victory, but I haven't been able to keep my promise. But Kunio is here, and he will guide us to victory. River City: Tokyo Rumble follows the story of a hot-blooded high school student named Kunio and his good friends. When a nefarious gang moves into Tokyo to try to take it over, it's up to this self-proclaimed "fighter for justice" and his buddies to make sure the streets stay safe! Punch, kick, use weapons such as soccer balls, iron knuckles, chains, and even bicycles to knock some sense into those devious gang members. Take on jobs, level up your abilities, and don't forget to stop on occasion for a snack or two at the local food joints. Luckily, smiles are free!
River City Girls stars Kyoko and Misako, two street-tough high-schoolers who must fight their way through the six regions of River City to rescue their kidnapped boyfriends, series mainstays Kunio and Riki. Along the way, they'll utilize an arsenal of combos, counters, throws, and special attacks; battle an assortment of enemies; accept numerous side quests; level up with experience points; interact with NPCs (including guest stars from past River City games); and shop for a variety of items, food, and gear to boost stats and unlock new abilities. The girls can even wield weapons and recruit defeated foes to join them in combat!
One day at school, Kunio was minding his own business when suddenly, he found a note on his locker. The note says their is a fighting tournament hosted by the "Double Tiger" twins. Seeing it as a challenge he could not refuse, Kunio runs off to participate. When Riki sees Kunio running and read his note, he decides to enter as well. Many other fighters will join in to see who is the strongest. The game was originally released as Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu, but has since been localized as Nekketsu Fighting Legend.
Kunio has to go see his master, Bunzo, because he is in some kind of trouble. Kunio's brother, Tsuu, tells him to wait. Right in front of the dojo, Kunio meets Asaji and Okoto. Apparently, Asaji and Okoto are fiances and Kunio appears to be jealous. Kunio enters Bunzo's Dojo. Tora, a local ruffian, has cursed Bunzo! To get rid of the curse, he needs some Kanpou. So begins Kunio's quest! Assemble everyone! It's time for a story! The game was originally released as Downtown Special: Kunio-kun no Jidaigeki Dayo Zenin Shuugou!, but has since been localized as Downtown Special Kunio-kun's Historical Period Drama!
Target: Renegade is a scrolling beat'em up (or flip-screen on certain versions) computer game released on the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum systems in the late 1980s by Ocean Software on their "Imagine" label, as well as a Nintendo Entertainment System version published by Taito. The game is a sequel to Renegade and was followed by Renegade 3. When acquiring the license to convert the original arcade game Renegade to home computers, Ocean acquired the option to produce and release their own home-computer-only sequels to the game, and Target Renegade was the first of these sequels. On most formats, the game caters for one or two players and concerns itself with the adventures of a streetfighter (or a pair of identical streetfighters) known only as "Renegade", who seek(s) revenge against a local crime kingpin named "Mr. Big" for murdering his or their brother Matt. The player character varies, depending on the format, but is usually represented as topless apart from a leather vest and wearing jeans. Regardless of the format, the cover of the game and the title screen (as seen on the image to the right) portrays a topless street fighter performing a flying kick through a window. In keeping with video game box art and advertising of the era, the character shown in this illustration bears little relation to any character in the game itself. The actual picture is based on Martial Arts Legend Joe Lewis from the cover of his book The World's Greatest Fighter Teaches You How To Master Bruce Lee's Fighting System, but has been adjusted so as to fit in with the character of Renegade. The game comprises five levels, though details of enemies and weapons vary from one version to another (the NES version in particular is more like Double Dragon than the home computer versions). The NES and C64 versions of the game do not have a two-player co-operative mode.

Kunio is tempted, this is a prestigious chance to showcase his skills. Upon entering the dome, only Nekketsu High is there. Suddenly a voice over the speaker system cries "HAH! You walked right into my trap! I have assembled 6 teams to take you on. Defeat them or be humiliated!" Stand up, Kunio! Fight the 6 teams and uncover the culprit behind this trap!
Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun: Bangai Rantou-hen is the first game in the Kunio-kun series released by Technōs Japan for the Game Boy. It is a sequel to Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun, but uses the graphical style of Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari, which was previously released on the Famicom. This is the second game in the Kunio-kun series that has Kunio and Riki joining forces against a common threat, which would become a standard in later games.

A student-only electric train has departed from Tokyo Station and has passed through Kyoto Station. A group of sophomore students from Nekketsu High School led by Kunio are aboard that train. Their destination is the city of laughter and defraud, Osaka. Kunio is sleepy and tired and that's when Hiroshi's voice wakes him up. "Kunio! Yoshihiro will guide us throught Osaka! Come with us!"(Yoshihiro is an exchange student who came from Osaka) Kunio has just learn that he is in Osaka.
Shin Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun: Kunio-tachi no Banka is a beat 'em up in the Kunio / Nekketsu High series. The eternal rebel Kunio and his pal Riki finally get to face the long arm of the law when they get both arrested for killing a couple of bystanders in a hit-and-run incident. Problem is they are innocent and the lookalike killers are still out there! Kunio and his pal now have to break out of the prison and go kick some butt in the name of justice (and to clear their names of course). Gameplay involves defeating all opponents using your arsenal of attacks and special moves and completing the many side scrolling stages that make up the game, usually after beating an end level boss. Kunio and Riki are not alone in their quest, as their hard boiled girlfriends, Misako and Kyoko, can join up and provide their unique collection of special moves to the mix. Biking sequences in which you try to get to another part of town while fending-off opponents Road Rash-style are also added for additional gameplay and the game uses several non-interactive cutscenes and dialogues to carry the plot forward.
Downtown Nekketsu Story is the original version of the game known as River City Ransom. The game was first released as Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari, but has since been localized as Downtown Nekketsu Story.
This prequel to the game known in the West as Crash'n the Boys: Street Challenge sees Kunio-kun competing in four not-so-traditional athletic events. The game was originally released as Downtown Nekketsu Koushinkyoku: Soreyuke Daiundoukai, but has since been localized as Downtown Nekketsu March Super-Awesome Field Day!
Picking up shortly after the original, River City Girls 2 once again put you in control of Misako and Kyoko - as well as Kunio, Riki, and a few new characters - as they set out on an all-new beat-'em-up adventure across the mean streets of River City. New moves, new enemies, new recruits, new environments, and the return of an old foe await, along with the same over-the-top sense of humor and adrenaline-pumping combat of its predecessor. The game will also feature two-player co-op action both locally and online.
