In BattleBlock Theater, players control a prisoner as they are forced to play through games devised by Hatty Hattington. Controls are simple, with the game largely consisting of running, jumping and punching. Comic Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smiley (also known as simply Comic Jumper) is an action video game developed by Twisted Pixel Games published by Microsoft Game Studios. The game received above average reviews from critics, with gaming aggregators GameRankings and Metacritic averaging 74.72% and 73/100, respectively. In its first month Comic Jumper sold over 40,000 copies and as of year-end 2011 has sold over 103,000 copies. Critics praised the game's humor, saying the game had several laugh out loud moments and excellent comedic delivery. The difficulty of the game was compared to games from the 16-bit console era.

ilomilo is a puzzle game developed by Southend Interactive and Microsoft Game Studios. It was released on Windows Phone 7 on November 8, 2010 for AT&T customers.[2] On November 26, 2010, a "secret" website was made available where players could get a code to download a trial and purchase the game early, while the game was officially released on Xbox Live Arcade on January 5, 2011.

In The Maw players control Frank, who in turn controls The Maw via an electrical leash that he uses keep him at his side. Gameplay involves guiding The Maw in specific directions to clear obstacles and complete levels. The Maw also has the ability to eat objects and creatures, taking on some of the properties of the thing it eats, such as breathing fire, flying, or simply growing in size. Players then use The Maw's increased abilities to navigate previously impossible sections of a level.
