Occurring during the events of RWBY Volume 7, players will take control of Team RWBY and switch between them on the fly in solo or multiplayer action (local or online) as they use their trademark weapons and semblances to stop a mysterious new threat in this side-scrolling, 2D adventure. A 2D fighting game for arcades by the developers of the Arcana Heart series based on the mobile card game Kaku-San-Sei Million Arthur.

The game features a clash between Falcom's two main franchises, Ys and Sora no Kiseki (Trails in the Sky) with appearances by a cast of familiar characters from each of the two series. The game's story mode is similar to those from the same fighting game genre. The player follows a character's journey across several stages to meet and fight different adversaries until achieving that character's epilogue. Unlike other games however, the battles follows Ys Seven's overhead display of combat and giving the player a greater variety of combat capabilities unique to those of a RPG.

As a result, the DC heroes perform "Heroic Brutalities", which effectively put their opponent out of commission.
