Daytona USA: Championship Circuit Edition

The third installment in the Daytona USA franchise pits up to 8 players linked via dedicated cabs against one another. Automatic, paddle shift, or 4 speed H gear box, with force feedback wheel, 3 new tracks and 3 updated classic tracks to race.

The player is put behind the wheel of a stock car (known as the Hornet), with the choice of three tracks as well as an automatic or manual transmission. The player's objectives are to outrun the competing cars, and complete the race before time runs out.

Sega's AM2 division is bringing back Daytona USA for the arcades.

Daytona USA 2: Battle on the Edge is an arcade racing game released by Sega in 1998 as a follow-up to the extremely successful Daytona USA. The game featured vastly superior graphics, utilizing the Sega Model 3 hardware. The majority of Daytona USA 2 cabinets were released as deluxe models (with far fewer Twin Cabinets), which could be linked together for up to four players. A notable change from the original is that the player has the choice from multiple cars, each with varying capabilities for varying levels of player experience. Just like before, the game has three courses – a Beginner course with 8 laps, an Advanced course with 4 laps, and a long Expert course with 2 laps. The 'time lap' mode also returns, and is accessed in the same manner – by holding down start at the transmission select screen. Like the original game, mirrored versions of the tracks can also be played by holding down the Start button when selecting the course. It is recommended, however, that the player has had mastery of the course beforehand. By request, an arcade operator could put the game on Grand Prix or Endurance mode to increase the number of laps in a game. Finishing a race in the top 3 in any course allows the player to view an "ending" and see the game credits.

HSX: HyperSonic Xtreme is a futuristic hover sled racing game. Races take place on elevated tracks littered with speed boosts, shield power ups, and big jumps. There are several game modes, including a cup mode and slalom races, either of which can be played in two player split screen. One of HSX's major features is it's built-in track editor. The full-featured track editor lets you create your own tracks, complete with flashy special effects.

Speed Devils: Online Racing is an updated version of Speed Devils that reuses the tracks and cars from the original game, adds new ones, and puts them into completely new modes with a focus on online multiplayer. The game includes online and offline options. Offline functions as a practice mode for online, and has only two modes: Arcade (for a standard race against AI-controlled opponents) and Ghost (for a one-on-one against oneself). At the start, car selection is limited and further cars can only be unlocked by playing online. The meat of the game is in Online mode. After customizing their online persona, players start with $10.000, enough to buy a car of the lowest class. Money must be earned by racing, enabling players to buy new cars and tune them with new parts. There are three kinds of races: Standard, Trial and Vendetta. Standard races allow various ways of earning money, of which winning is only one: breaking speed limits at certain points and setting race records (highest speed, fastest lap time, leading the longest) also increase cash flow. Trial races involve wagering: a minimum amount is set by the race creator that all participants must pay to take part. The creator also sets between one and four challenges from a pool of 22 possible options. These include similar records as in the Standard races, but also challenges to always (or never) break the speed limit, bust the limit (but never twice on the same radar), get best times on specific laps, always improve times from lap to lap or not take any damage. The wagered money is distributed at the end of the race between all participants that completed their challenges, taking into account the difficulty of the challenge and the final positions of the racers. Vendetta races are always one-on-one, with the winner taking the loser's car. The game includes all the tracks from the first game (7 unique tracks in 12 configurations), adds a "Heavy Winter" configuration to the Canada track and adds one new track (Montreal) with three configurations, for a total of 16 different tracks, all of which can be raced in reverse or mirrored, and with weather and time of day selectable. The number of cars has been doubled from the original, adding an additional eleven.

All of the action and excitement of sports car racing comes to the Game Boy Color with TEST DRIVE 2001. You can choose from 13 real world cars including the Lotus Elise, Dodge Viper, Jaguar XK-R, and a 1985 Ford Mustang and customize any of them to meet your driving style. Then you can hit one of 48 tracks in 12 different locations. While on the track, you need to watch out for jumps, shortcuts, and traffic that will ram into your vehicle. Try to learn all of curves of a track in a Single Race, or if you are looking for extended competition, try to win a Tournament. For the ultimate challenge, try to catch speeding criminals in the Cop Chase. If your friends want to race you, they can with the link cable option. Midnight Race Club: Supercharged! is the second racing game from the developers behind the notorious Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. Unlike Big Rigs, it has proper collision detection, unintentionally removing one of the quirks that made the previous game famous. Midnight Race Club was originally intended to be a single package along with Big Rigs, but GameMill decided to split the two early in development. For this reason, both games share an identical UI and near-identical gameplay.

Air Racer is simple and interesting game. Overtake other racers in the sky traffic and earn scores. Collect stars and unlock new airplanes. Simple one-tap control: Tap screen and hold to fly up, release to fly down.
