It is a remake of Entaku no Seito (Students of Round), which was originally released for PC in 2010 before being ported with some changes to Xbox 360 in 2011 and PSP in 2012. "In Saviors of Sapphire Wings, a fallen hero is reincarnated 100 years after being defeated by the Overlord of Darkness. Bond with allies, explore dungeons, and vanquish monsters in this RPG gem!" Released digitally on July 11th, physically on July 25th. A copy of Stranger of Sword City Revisited was included or built into the game as a bonus. The port for PC and Nintendo Switch is being released internationally as "Saviors of Sapphire Wings / Stranger of Sword City" to reflect the included game.

Stranger of Sword City is a first person turn-based RPG dungeon crawler. The main character is Human but you get to change the appearance, gender, and class. You can create a team of up to 6 characters with customizable ages, races, and talents. Higher ages give more bonus points for stats but come with less life points. You can have 16 registered characters at one time. Races include: Human, Elf, Dwarf, Migmy, and Ney. Classes include: Fighter, Knight, Samurai, Wizard, Cleric, Ranger, Ninja, and Dancer. Classes can be changed up to five times. Each class change will half that characters current level but you get to keep one skill learned from the previous class. The game includes the new and old art styles allowing you to switch whenever you want. The games was originally released in Japan under the name "Tsurugi no Machi no Ihoujin: Kuro no Kyuuden" on Playstation Vita and under the name "Tsurugi no Machi no Ihoujin: Shiro no Oukyuu" on Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is the sixth installment in the main Trails series, serving as the beginning to the Erebonia arc. The game follows Rean Schwarzer and his fellow students of "Class VII" at Thors Military Academy, a newly formed class at the academy which is the only one not segregated by social class, composing of both Erebonian nobility and commoners. The basic gameplay is nearly identical to the previous entries with a few changes. The biggest change to the battle system and also counting as a brand new feature is the "Tactical Link System". The "Tactical Link" allow players follow up with three different kinds of link attacks, dealing additional damage and providing various other benefits. "Tactical Link" becomes a more useful asset to the player as the story progress and characters level up their "Link Levels" with other characters. As the link levels increase, you will obtain new link abilities such as healing the link partner or increase the CP gain of the partner.
