Dirt 3 is a rally racing game. Just like expected, most time is spent in races which, at least in most scenarios, are set in offroad environments. The main difference to other racing events is, that the player drives not alone, but has a front-seat passenger with him, who announces when to turn. The game features overall 98 courses, but some of those are just variations of the same. Also on board is the iconic ability to turn back time after screwing up. In contrast to Dirt 2, in this installment there are other playing modes than the career available, e.g. a single race. But the career is still the heart of the game; here the player tunes his car, participates in races and earns experience points, which are used to unlock new cars. There are six different race modes to solve during the career; e.g. regular races and "trailblazer" (no passenger available). Two of those are newly introduced: drift tournaments and Gymkhana, which are basically confined areas with a lot of stunt opportunities - the goal is to perform as many as possible in a limited time. Additionally every mode has special tricky bonus goals which reward more experience when fulfilled.

The quartet of cars coming to DIRT 5 in the Uproar Content Pack restore four of the most exciting and eye-catching machines from our previous extreme off-road title, DiRT Showdown. Every event either takes place at night-time or features dynamically changing weather that includes night racing, meaning a fresh test of your nerve, reaction and skill. The 25 events will take you across the globe in new race scenarios for New York, Nepal, Italy, South Africa and more locations. Two new sponsors are also added into Career mode in the Uproar Content Pack: PUMA and OffRoad Xtreme. Race through Career events when signed to these sponsors to unlock new items, including unique liveries, player profile options and custom livery patterns, to show your style on the track.

This entry in the Ford Racing series sees the racing move onto the streets of Los Angeles, with a unique team racing experience included that puts the player in control of their own Ford Racing three-car team, allowing them to race and also issue commands to team mates to gain tactical and positional advantage. The game showcases 18 fully licensed Ford super cars, from the 1970 Mk1 Capri RS1600, through the Ford GT to the 2007 Shelby GT 500.

The game involves at driving on America's roads at approximately 200 miles (320 km) per hour from Boston to Los Angeles - a whopping 2,990 miles (4,810 km) from start to finish. Each player must try to gain personal glory by competing against eight computer-controlled players who can race their way across the United States of America. However, the drivers have fictional names and are neither based on the Formula One or the NASCAR Winston Cup (now Sprint Cup Series) racers of that era. If the game was based on real world physics, it would take at least fourteen days to get from Boston to Los Angeles (providing that only fuel stops were made and no attempts were made to get some sleep).

Option Tuning Car Battle Spec-R is the third in a series of PlayStation racing games sponsored by the Japanese magazine Option.

This is a solid circuit racing game featuring more than 20 tracks and cars (no official car manufacturer licenses so the cars are all called coupe, saloon etc), multiplayer capability and 12 different characters, each with their own unique AI and driving characteristics. There are 2 game modes. Arcade Mode consists of Checkpoint Mode (continuous racing getting from checkpoint to checkpoint before the time runs out) and Single Race Mode. In Simulator Mode there are a 3 further options. Championship Mode will allow you to practice, upgrade and repair your car whilst aiming to win races and climb up the world rankings. Auto Test Mode will put you on an obstacle course to allow you to test your car's handling. Finally, Multiplayer Mode will allow you and up to 7 friends to challenge each other across a LAN or serial connection. The race tracks themselves are all based on international Grand Prix tracks. You also have the option to try these tracks in reverse (mirror image). Different weather options are also available (rain, snow and dry) and you can also choose whether to race during the day or at night.
