Dying Light is a first-person, action survival horror game set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, players traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population. At night, the hunter becomes the hunted, as the infected become aggressive and more dangerous. Most frightening are the predators which only appear after sundown. Players must use everything in their power to survive until the morning’s first light.

Dying Light: The Beast Restored Land is a new enhanced version of the game that includes the base game, all previously released updates and the premiere Restored Land content in one package. Resident Evil Zero is a third-person survival horror video game and a prequel to the first Resident Evil. The gameplay remains largely the same as previous entries in the series but also introduces what it calls a partner zapping system, which allows you to switch between the two characters Rebecca and Billy at any time. This feature must be used at times, as the game requires both characters to work together to solve some puzzles. New to the game are a bunch of terrifying enemies, like the mutant centipede, new areas to explore, and the ability to drop items on the ground instead of having to find an item box.

Offering a total sandbox experience, H1Z1 is a zombie survival MMO set in a post-apocalyptic world where thousands of players must strategically align with friends and against enemies in order to survive the worldwide infection. Daybreak Games announced in early 2016 that H1Z1 has been split into two games: H1Z1: King of the Kill & H1Z1: Just Survive.

Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Released in April 2019 for PlayStation 4 and later for PC in May 2021, the game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where players control Deacon St. John, a drifter and bounty hunter navigating a landscape overrun by "Freakers," zombie-like creatures created by a global pandemic. The gameplay focuses on exploration, combat, and survival elements, with players able to use various weapons, craft supplies, and upgrade Deacon’s motorcycle, essential for travelling across the vast and hostile environment. Days Gone combines narrative-driven missions with an open world filled with dynamic events, enemy camps, and environmental challenges.

The Last Stand: Dead Zone is a multiplayer survival RPG where players manage a compound of survivors during a zombie apocalypse. Players lead teams on real-time scavenging missions across an infected city, collecting resources and equipment from over 30,000 available items. The game combines base-building mechanics with strategic combat, allowing players to fortify their settlement, assign specialized roles to survivors, and craft equipment from gathered materials. Players can join alliances and interact with others through cooperative building or competitive raiding for resources.

The second game in the series; it follows Jack, the same survivor from the first game. He is breathing a sigh of relief in the rescue helicopter when one of his group members turns out to be infected. The resulting chaos causes the helicopter to crash, with Jack as the only survivor. This game illustrates his trek towards Union City, where news of a final evacuation is said to be taking place in 40 days. It possesses the same mechanics as The Last Stand, except the player must now travel across a map through different towns in order to reach safety, and must gather weapons, survivors, and supplies along the way.

The third game in the series; it takes place during and shortly after the events of The Last Stand 2, and follows the story of a citizen of Union City, whose return to Union City after a hard day's work is rudely interrupted when they crash into a zombie. Now, they must fight their way through the zombie hordes in search of their spouse and after that, escape Union City. Unlike the previous games in the series, it is a RPG, though it retains the same controls and 2D side-view perspective. The player does not control Jack and instead creates their own custom survivor, who can level up by gaining XP from quests, killing enemies, and scavenging, after which the player is allowed to upgrade their stats and skill sets as they see fit.
