Echochrome
Parent game
Echochrome is a puzzle game created by Sony's Japan Studio and Game Yarouze. Gameplay involves a mannequin figure traversing a rotatable world where physics and reality depend on perspective. The world is occupied by Oscar Reutersvärd's impossible constructions. This concept is inspired by M. C. Escher's artwork, such as "Relativity". The game is based on the Object Locative Environment Coordinate System developed by Jun Fujiki—an engine that determines what is occurring based on the camera's perspective.

Experience echoshift originally released on the PSP system, enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters. The Walker’s life is stuck on repeat. Our hero is lost in a series of dangerous, mind-bending mazes, where time keeps replaying, over and over… Do you have the skill to help the Walker escape? Test your mental agility in 56 levels of puzzle-packed action, where the clock is always ticking as you work to flick switches, unlock doors and overcome obstacles. Co-operate with ‘echoes’ of your past self to solve problems as you navigate through this ingenious and endlessly addictive puzzle game from 2009.
Presenting a brand new take on the puzzle genre, echochrome ii introduces a unique twist on gameplay that lets players use pure imagination to solve puzzles by controlling light and shadows. Utilizing the PlayStation Move motion controller and the PlayStation Eye camera, players can rotate levels and control light and shadows to change the way objects are viewed and the shadows they cast. The ultimate goal is to lead your character through the path from beginning to end, while learning how a variety of different objects can be combined with perspectives, angles and the use of light can be used to help solve the puzzle. Beware … much like echochrome, the possibilities are infinite and there is always more than meets the eye as every person can view each puzzle differently!
Echoshift is a franchise spin-off of the previously released PlayStation Network title echochrome.
