Because of a rise of anti-mutant activity in Genosha, Professor Xavier uses Cerebro to scan the island nation and discovers Apocalypse's presence there. Genosha's government is apparently using Apocalypse to bring their mutant population under control. However, Xavier suspects Apocalypse to follow his own plans and sends five X-Men, Cyclops, Wolverine, Psylocke, Beast and Gambit, to investigate. X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse combines the gameplay of a side-scrolling brawler like Final Fight with elements of a platformer, that is, players have to fight various enemies and survive the occasional jumping-puzzle. Most levels also feature mid- and end-bosses in form of robots, monsters or known Super-Villains. Each character has unique abilities and special moves: Cyclops uses his Optic Blast to attack enemies from a distance, Wolverine can climb walls, Psylocke is very agile and the best jumper of the team, Beast can cling to the ceiling while Gambit throws explosive cards at his enemies. Special moves are quite similar to those found in Street Fighter II (Wolverine has a Dragon-Punch-style attack and Gambit's Double Kick is virtually identical to M. Bison's Scissors Kick), and require similar button combinations. While most stages are unique for each character, some can be played with any of the X-Men. Progress is saved via password.
X-Men: Gamesmaster's Legacy is an action game released in 1995 on the Game Gear. The game starts off with Cyclops and Storm as playable X-Men, although Wolverine, Gambit, Rogue, Bishop, Jean Grey, and Cable can be later unlocked. It is loosely based on the "Upstarts" and "X-Cutioner's Song" storylines that took place in the comics. It is the sequel to the original X-Men Game Gear game.

TMNT: Ninja Adventures is a mini game and activity center for Microsoft Windows. It was released by Focus Multimedia Ltd in May 2007. It was only sold in the UK. In the US, Ninja Adventures was packaged with TMNT action figures.
Marvel Super Hero Squad is an action beat-em-up game for one to four players that is based on the animated Marvel TV series. The game is based in Super Hero City and sees the Super Hero Squad battling against Dr. Doom’s Lethal Legion of villains. The story is that long ago the mighty Infinity Sword was shattered and nor Dr. Doom and his minions are seeking the pieces, the Infinity Fractals. Each fractal is immensely powerful and gives whoever possesses it special powers. Super Hero City is in danger and only the Super Hero Squad can save the day! With a story line like that the stage is set for lots of fighting, though the enemies can be targeted so players can throw objects and use long range attacks. Player(s) can either work their way through the story in Adventure Mode, or fight with other players in Battle Mode. The two modes of play offer different types of game-play and features: Adventure Mode: This is for two players and gives the player(s)•Six campaigns to recover the Infinity Fractals and gain new and super powers. •The chance to play as one of these characters: the Hulk, Falcon, Iron Man, Thor, Silver Surfer, or Wolverine. •Two unlockable campaigns featuring Spider-Man and Dr. Doom. •Co-operative play. •Unlockable characters, battle areas and costumes. The N-Gage version of Spider-Man 2 is a 2D platformer, with some 3D races against time between the 2D stages. In the 3D races, Spider-Man needs to move higher or lower between buildings to avoid obstacles. The 2D levels are more traditional: climbing walls and ceilings, slinging webs at opponents, taking pictures for the Daily Bugle newspaper, using spider sense to reveal secrets, etc. The events are loosely based on the story of the Spider-Man 2 movie. The game offers fifteen 2D levels, five 3D levels, some Spider-Man comics' classical villains as bosses (like The Lizard, Rhino, and Doc Ock) and a scoreboard on N-Gage Arena.
