Magic & Mayhem: The Art of Magic is a 3D role-playing / strategy hybrid. You'll battle enemy creatures and wizards by conjuring forces and developing spells from the magic laws of Chaos, Law and Order. This unique magic system allows you to develop an individual strategy for each mission, altering the spells and creatures you use in battle each time. Summon fantastic creatures from mythology-giants, archers, undead minions, dragons, knights, and much more. Your character's skills and abilities develop as the game progresses through items found in scenarios and experience gained from successfully completing tasks. Robust multiplayer support allows gamers to battle head-to-head with up to eight friends or computer opponents over LAN or the Internet, including head-to-head and team play.

Magic & Mayhem is a real-time strategy game. It combines elements of role-playing with strategy, action and puzzles. You play a young mage, Cornelius, who seeks to uncover the mystery surrounding the disappearance of his mentor. The result is adventures that will span three islands, which will uncover new mysteries and make new friends, and force you to face a multitude of challenges, puzzles and enemies.

Kingdom Under Fire included single-player and multiplayer online modes through Phantagram's "Wargate" server. The game is the first release in the Kingdom Under Fire series which later received critical acclaim through the Xbox release Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders, a game which, like others in the series, incorporated both role-playing and real-time strategy elements. A "Gold Patch" was released for Kingdom Under Fire which introduced a map editor, extra missions, and in-game save option; the version was also re-released as Kingdom Under Fire Gold. Two factions, light and dark, are playable in the game, with each side having units fulfilling the typical roles of warrior, archer, flying unit and wizards – as well as more powerful individual hero characters. The campaigns are split into 13 missions of which 10 are battles and the other three being a dungeon crawl for a hero character.
