Maya the Bee: The Great Adventure

The Bee Game lets players experience the adventures of Maya the Bee and her friend Willie as they search for their friends. A strong storm has blown through corn poppy meadow and some of the residents of the hive are now missing! Help Maya and Willie by taking on challenges and completing mini-games to find clues in the meadow, dark forest, blue pond, deep caverns and the garden to locate the other bees.

Game Boy Advance game based on the German children's book (which in turn spawned a Japanese anime series), Maya the Bee (Die Biene Maja). A scientist and his two female assistants work on ESP research in a remote science laboratory. One day, a section of the lab blows up. It turned out that the monsters kept for experiments escaped and took one of the assistants with them. The scientist gives an "ESP booster" to the remaining assistant so she can go rescue her. Your character possesses psychic power which she uses to blast away her enemies. You start the game with few powers and eventually gain more as items dropped by monsters are picked up. You control powers such as fire, ice, sonic waves, temporary invincibility, levitation, and more.

The eponymous main character is an opossum knight who fights an army of yellow wolves and robots. He is armed with a sword that can fire energy bolts and a rocket pack that allows him to fly short distances. The gameplay remains mostly the same as in Mega Drive games, with the most notable change being the addition of a short-distance rolling dash. One major difference is that the game's final level depends on a difficulty player selected.
