Speedball is a futuristic football-like game which takes place on a steel walled floored pitch, 160 feet long by 90 feet wide. There are two teams, and the team scoring the most goals wins. There is a goal at each end of the pitch and a ball warp tunnel in each side of the wall. The warp tunnels can warp a ball from one tunnel to another. The ball is launched from the center of the pit by the automatic launcher in a random direction. There also bounce domes, off of which the ball will be deflected, but over which players are free to move.
The multiplayer mode for Lone Echo that got out of control and became a standalone game. Free to all, players can squad up or individually progress during each new Echo Pass season in order to earn new Echo Points to unlock exciting rewards. Players can also purchase Echo Points, or upgrade to a premium Echo Pass to triple the amount of rewards earned throughout the Season. Players can currently redeem Echo Points through Echo Pass or unlock bundles, featured items and limited-item items in the Echo Shop. This Game is 2-Player Only. In this version of soccer, each player controls 4 men, though only one at a time. The computer moves the other 3 for you. A computer-controlled goalie will help out when a goal attempt is made. Kick the ball around for 90 minutes, and try to score more than your opponent.
Kick Off was the first football game of its kind, having a top-down view and unlike other football games of that time, the ball was not glued to the feet of the players.
Sensible Soccer is a football video game series which was highly popular in the early 1990s and which still retains a cult following. Developed by Sensible Software and first released for Amiga in 1992, it featured a zoomed-out bird's-eye view, editable national, club and custom teams and gameplay utilising a relatively simple and user-friendly control scheme. One of the defining gameplay elements was the aftertouch feature, which enabled effective but unrealistic swerves. The game topped charts such as Amiga Power's "All Time Top 100". The graphic style of the game was used in other Sensible Software games, such as Mega-Lo-Mania, Cannon Fodder and Sensible Golf.
