MVP is EA Sports' replacement for the aging Triple Play series. Re-written from the ground up, this rookie title includes a Homerun Showdown (not a derby - something a little different) and Franchise mode as well as the usual exhibition games. The NHL Hitz series has been on all next-generation consoles since the early days of the 32-bit era. With that said, its no surprise that Midway brings NHL Hitz 20-03 to GameCube, with Hitz' trademark 'On-Fire Mode', over-the-top animations, and fully 3D crowds. Like all NHL Hitz games, NHL Hitz 20-03 features gameplay modes for up to 6 players, in-game fights and hidden teams, players and stadiums. The game will also feature Create-A-Player modes and mini-games.

Join one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball history for Roger Clemens' MVP Baseball. While the game does not come with the license of Major League Baseball or the MLBPA, there are still 26 similar teams with rosters resembling those of their actual MLB counterparts, including 1991 statistics. Though player names could not be used, the fictional ones make it apparent who each player represents. For instance, you can strike out one of Oakland's Bash brothers (M. Bash or J. Bash) with Texas' R. Nolan or hit a home run with Detroit's C. Fieldman off of Chicago's M. Gaddox. The gameplay of Roger Clemens differs from that of most NES baseball games. Though the batting scenes may resemble those typified by R.B.I. Baseball and Major League Baseball, the view switches to what one might see from the outfield stands once the ball is hit. This results in different controls from most baseball games as well. A player can challenge a friend or the computer, and one-player games may be exhibition or part of a 33-game season, complete with playoffs once the season is complete. The highly popular baseball series TRIPLE PLAY makes its appearance on the Game Boy Color with TRIPLE PLAY 2001. You can play with or against any of the 30 Major League teams with complete rosters based on the 1999 season. You can also play in all of the Major League ballparks. Once you have chosen your team, try to hit as many homers as possible in the Home Run Derby. When you are ready for real competition, play a game against any opponent. While pitching, you can throw curves, fastballs, and change-ups. And when you're at the plate, you decide when to swing for the fences and when to hit for average. Triple Play Baseball is part of the EA Sports line of MLB Baseball sims. This edition was released in 2001 and would have been called Triple Play 2002 if they had not dropped the year off the title. Like previous editions you can pick from any of the teams in the National League or American League. Mostly little has changed with this edition except for a world tournament that has been added. You have to win the World Series however to see this option. The EA Sports' well respected series of baseball games returns in this release for the hardy PlayStation console. As in previous incarnations, gamers can control nearly all aspects of the Big League action, which takes place in virtual representations of real-life baseball venues and features all of the Major League teams, players, and updated statistics from the 2000 season.

Go out to the old ballgame in MLB '99. Players can choose from modes like Quick Play, Playoffs, Season, and Home Run Derby. The Spring Training mode allows you to create and develop your own player, who must prove himself in a short minor league stint.

High Heat has always been generous with features in its PC incarnation, and the console version has finally caught up to it. Boasting eleven different modes of play, HH 2004 takes several steps beyond the product offered last year and genuinely tries rather hard to push feature diversity. All the classics are here: Home Run Derby, Exhibition, All-Star Games, Batting Practice, Player Editing devices, and other such goodies await the gamers who patiently explore its every area. Perfect for two-player matches, Two-on-Two Showdown returns from last year's PS2 version and presents itself as a console-exclusive option (you're not going to find it in the GBA or PC versions at all).

Step up to the plate and swing for the fences with Triple Play 2002. The action on the field comes to life with real player models and dramatic out-of-play sequences, giving players the chance to experience big game moments such as a game-winning hit or a key strikeout. Triple Play 2002 features Single Game, Season and Playoff modes in addition to the new Home Run Derby mode. In Home Run Derby Mode, players can compete in an eight-player elimination tournament and try to hit as many home runs as possible before getting 10 outs. Behind the microphone for Triple Play 2002 will be a new broadcast team: award winning broadcaster Bob Costas doing play-by-play with color commentary provided by ESPN Baseball Tonight analyst Harold Reynolds.

Triple Play 98 features all 30 major league stadiums, but not all 30 team rosters. This game was released prior to the expansion draft of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Their team logos are included and the rosters can be filled from a list of free agents. Six modes of play include: exhibition, season, playoffs, home run derby, all-star, and practice. Trading players and the ability to create your own are two available options. Many stats are tracked through season play and plenty of camera angles are available during gameplay. Play by play is provided with color commentary by announcers Jim Hughson and Buck Martinez. Triple Play 98 requires one to five memory card blocks to save a game.
