Up to 4 players compete for the best mining claims in the solar system. Politics and sabotage can be used to your advantage in order to set the course for your family for the next hundred years.
1 January 2050: After many deacdes of research and development of space travel, mankind is now ready to reach out to the planets of the Solar System to establish mining bases. The survival of a technological civilization depends on the rapid and efficient utilization of the Solar System's mineral resources to replace the rapidly diminishing supply of industrial minerals available on Earth. For this reason, the United Nations has formed a Mining Council and empowered it to grant mining concessions throughout the Solar System to anyone who can be the first to claim them. In theory, there are many groups on Earth who could try to stake claims, but only the four largest multi-national corporations have the ressources to embark on such an ambitious program. These are the four "families" of Earth, each controlling uncountable wealth and wielding enormous political power. As the day for the opening of claims arrives, each family has assembled a fleet of space craft in orbit around the Earth, ready to race to the planets when the signal is given. The Mining Council has positioned patrol ships throughout the Solar System to make sure everyone follows the rules. But, when no one is looking, who's to know what happened if one of the families sabotages a ship belonging to someone else? Thus begins a few weeks of intensive exploration and political maneuvering which will decide the course of the economic exploitation of outer space for the next hundred years...

Hanse is a managerial strategy game set in the 14th century. The player takes the role of an ambitious citizen who wants to become the mayor of Lübeck. To reach this goal he has to get rich by trading with other cities of the Hanseatic League. The basic gameplay principle is simple: shipping salt and exchanging it for other goods which then can be sold in Lübeck for a good price. This means the current salt price is the most important part when planning shipments (besides the weather). Of course the player also has to purchase and maintain other things, e.g. a trading station, ships and cannons. Alternatively the player can also participate in smuggling.

Computer Acquire is adapted from the board game Acquire by Avalon Hill. As in most games of high finance it is about making profits by buying low and selling high. Instead of the normal commodity or utility markets the simulation is based on hotel property stocks with mergers and hotel chaining. The goal is spotting the bargains early when the price is right along with adding more hotel chains to which you have controlling interest. Sprinkle in a little market luck along the way and win by becoming the wealthiest player.
