Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones is an action-adventure game blending acrobatic platforming, puzzle-solving, and hack and slash combat, and the final chapter of the Sands of Time trilogy. Players guide the Prince through the city of Babylon, running along walls, leaping between platforms, avoiding traps, and using the time-controlling Dagger of Time in combat and to recover from mistakes. A new Speed Kill system rewards well-timed stealth strikes to take down enemies quickly, and the Prince can wield secondary weapons taken from foes. At points he transforms into the Dark Prince, an alter ego that fights with a bladed whip called the Daggertail while steadily draining health. It was later ported to PlayStation Portable and Wii under the title Prince of Persia: Rival Swords.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands was a game made for the Nintendo Wii by Ubisoft Qubec. The game features a completely different storyline and setting from other versions of the game (under the same title), as well as totally different gameplay mechanics, as the game makes use of the Wii's motion control as well as conventional buttons. Rescuing girlfriends is a pretty common challenge in older computer games - why can't any of these ladies look after themselves? On this occasion Pearly has been kidnapped by Fransz Dandruff, so better make sure he's hair today, gone tomorrow. The gameplay is platform based, although the player may move down platforms as well as up to the next one. There are lots of baddies (drawn in a cutesy style) who need shooting and offer rewards. The seven levels are fairly short and linear.
