Squad is a large scale combined arms multiplayer first-person shooter emphasizing combat realism through communication, team play, emphasizing strong squad cohesion mechanics as well as larger-scale coordination, tactics, and planning. It features 20 large open maps, vehicle-based combined arms gameplay, and player-constructed bases to create a heart-thumping, visceral gaming experience with split-second decision-making in real-world scale firefights.

The Socom series continues with a single player campaign. 32 player capability is added to the online experience. The series is still about protecting America against urban and rural warfare. Three new AOs are included in this game: Morocco, Poland, and Bangladesh. Maps are 5 to 6 times larger than the last game. Multiple save points have been included. Vehicles can be driven by players and AI. The new weapon customization allows 30 different weapons and attachments. The new TCA system allows the player to quickly give a command.

Arma 2 is set in the near future, year 2009, in a fictional post soviet country called Chernarus. Players will be sent as members of a United States Marine Corps Force Recon squad to this country to prevent further civilian casualties and ensure ongoing stability there. Arma 2 is based on the latest generation technology, offering large ?scale game world, authentic and extremely detailed modern units, weapons, vehicles and enviroments, challenging single player and vast array of multiplayer options.

In Battlefield 2, players will choose to fight for one of three military superpowers: the United States, the Chinese, or the newly formed Middle East Coalition. Armed with the latest modern weaponry, players can take control of any of the game’s 30+ vehicles to engage in major conflicts with over 64 players in some of the largest online battles on the PC. Additionally, persistent character growth allows players to rise through the ranks and attain the ultimate rank of General.

Arma 3 is a truly massive military simulation sandbox game. It offers a wide variety of true/sci-fi combat situations in both singleplayer and multiplayer modes. It also comes out of the box with a very powerful editor that allows players to create their own scenarios, campaigns and mapmodes both for single- and multiplayer use.

A tactical shooter with realistic properties, it adapts various features absent in previous installments of the franchise such as the ability to see one's weapon while in first-person view, many new weapons and upgrades, as well as a redesigned multiplayer.

SOCOM II is a third-person tactical shooter. There are 12 different single-player missions: split equally between Albania, Algeria, Brazil and Russia. There are five different ranks that can be played in the game: Ensign, Lieutenant, Commander, Captain and Admiral. The player starts with the first three ranks unlocked, but must finish the single player game on Commander to unlock Captain, and on Captain to unlock Admiral. Players can unlock new models for multiplayer, as well as movies, music, concept art, and credits by completing certain objectives.

The Battlefield franchise entered a new era equipped with more firepower, modernized weaponry and vehicles, and a deeper infantry experience from the jungles to the beaches of Vietnam. In Battlefield Vietnam, players selected from a variety of characters within the different soldier classes. The game introduced new dramatic battle scenarios including leading a squadron of helicopters in an all-out attack on an enemy compound, executing an ambush of enemy soldiers from dense foliage, captaining a PT boat through a dangerous jungle river passage, and more.

Following the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the economic situation in Russia and the former Eastern Europe falls into chaos. Terrorism in the region is commonplace as people fight a seemingly endless stream of battles for supplies and other necessities. In this power vacuum though a dangerous a situation arises: the Russian mafia has begun buying up surplus military equipment with the assistance of current members of the Russian Army. During one such arms deal Rainbow forces raid the meeting grounds and recover weapons grade plutonium, tracing the fissile material to a nearby naval base.

The Red Army is back. Now that Russia's government has collapsed, a hardline leader is bent on taking over the republics. Enter Ghost Recon, an advanced, futuristic squad of U.S. Army soldiers. Unlike previous Rainbow Six games, the setting is much more focused on the military instead of anti-terrorist maneuvers. Next-generation inventory and weapons will give players a glimpse into the real U.S. Army "Land Warrior" program on which Ghost Recon is based.
