Dust is a Polish FPS by Optimus Nexus released in 1999. The player takes on the role of a former soldier fighting for his life on the distant moon Arena. Dust is one of the first Polish first-person shooters. It is distinguished by the necessity to use well-thought-out tactics to solve the encountered problems, because only good planning of actions allows you to survive in the hostile environment of the Arena. The game requires to use stealth and preserve ammunition in order to progress.
You play as Sope, a fighter of the Imperial cavalry (infantryman, special forces, star trooper, underline as necessary). The action takes place in the distant year 2798. It is well known that any mighty empire tends to gradually rot from the inside and then disintegrate. And this time your character is categorically unlucky to appear in a harsh period of changing historical epochs. The governing center was no longer able to contain the manifestations of separatism. Distant colonies often rebelled. And on one of these planets, a special detachment of your hero was defeated, because in the management of troops reigned complete chaos. Having sold the rest of the weapons, Soap was forced to get home on the proceeds, using all sorts of dubious hitchhiking and plowing dubious space “roads”. That's how he was “brought” to this God-damned little moon on the big giant planet. But the decay of the Empire influenced not only the development of separatist sentiments. In just a few generations, the most valuable Imperial technology and knowledge had been lost. And here in the Arena, there had been continuous warfare for several centuries. After all, anyone realizes that war is first and foremost about the most advanced technology. That is why the Arena began to attract various criminals, scoundrels, adventurers, mercenaries and other very dubious people. And all of them began to dig and search in the sand-covered remains of former battles for various high-tech artifacts that could be sold back to the same Empire, and on the proceeds of the crumbs not to starve to death and last a couple of months until some new value is found. Our main character found himself in such a horrible world, and, most importantly, the oppressive atmosphere of such an environment deeply permeates the game. You can feel it directly on yourself, passing level after level. The main task of our hero is to escape from this cursed moon by all means, revealing the big secret of this planetary body.

Alien Invaders is a variant of Space Invaders . A 14x5 rectangular formation of enemy spacecraft appears from the top of the screen, and slowly gets closer to the surface of the Earth. You control a mobile missile launcher that can shoot up at the invaders, while the aliens try to bomb you. As in Space Invaders, there are fortifications which can give you some shelter from the bombs, and these are slowly worn away as they are bombarded. There is also an enemy mother-ship that appears overhead, which gives you bonus points. But unlike Space Invaders, there is only one wave. Once the main enemy formation is defeated, you can only gain more points by aiming at the mother-ships until the five minute timer runs out.

Astro Invader is a fixed screen shoot 'em up. The player moves their laser base across the bottom of the screen and has to shoot down the aliens that appear above. What sets Astro Invader apart from other early shoot 'em ups is that the aliens, after being dropped from their mothership, position themselves in columns. Once a column is full the lowest alien drops down and suicide dives towards the player. As they hit the ground they explode and the player must make sure they are not within the blast radius. In addition to the standard aliens there are also UFOs that appear in the middle and to the sides of the screen. These must be shot down as they will kill the player when landing, no matter where the player is positioned. The game is over when all three lives are lost.
