Ranma 1/2: Hard Battle

It's a normal day at the Tendo Dojo when Kunou invites the Ranma gang to Kikaiga island. The Kunou family has bought the island and is building anamusement park on it. When the group arrives, they find that Kikaiga island is a demon's lair, and that a legendary treasure called Shingouki is hidden within eight stones throughout the island. And so the characters each go out to search for the stones and claim the Shingouki before anyone else.

The game involves falling blocks of hands displaying the rock, paper, and scissors signs, which fall three at a time. In a similar manner to Tetris, the player can rotate the blocks to stack them, using pieces that defeat other pieces (e.g. paper over rock) to eliminate stacks. Doing so adds garbage pieces onto the opponent's screen to make it more difficult for them to eliminate their stacks of blocks. The objective is to fill up the opponent's screen up with blocks so that additional ones can no longer fit. Each character has two special attacks which can be used when large combinations are completed. Once in each round each player can also use a bucket of water that can transform a cursed character into their alternate form, which weakens their attacks until the effect wears off. This does not affect Akane or the Gambling King.

Ranma gets a letter explaining that they just received the recipe to the most valuable of all treasures, the Maneki Neko, which has the ability to grant any wish. Ranma must then set out to find the 12 ingredients of the Maneki Neko, located all over the world, before one of their rivals does the same. The game was scheduled to be released in North America under the title of Ranma ½ II: Anything-Goes Martial Arts, but went unreleased in the West.

Dragon Ball Z fans can rest assured that the destructible environment, and character trademark attacks and transformations will be true to the series. These include signature Pursuit Attacks which enable players to initiate attack combo strings, juggling your opponent in a string of devastating strikes throughout the environment. Shaman King: Spirit of Shamans is based on the anime, in which you will complete the first half of the overall story featured within the anime/manga series. This is the first fighting game featured within the series. The graphics seem to reflect other styles seen within the original Gundam Battle Assault, in which you will be playing right-to-left with advanced sprite graphics. Your spirit can also be regularly used within this fighter as to assist you. At random times in battle, the icon of your specific spirit will flash, in which if you press either O or X fast enough, your overall spirit meter will rise. When risen to the highest extent, you can unleash your ultimate. Within this game, three different buttons vary from a weak attack, or a more stronger attack. The combo system seems to range up to the max of 10 in battle. Story mode, Vs mode, and Arcade mode are the three playable modes within this game. In Story mode, you will experience various cutscenes and additional minigames. Arcade mode seems to be the same except for the fact that you will be continuously battling. Of course within Vs mode, you can battle against a friend or a com. Overall within this game, 17 characters are playable (3 of which being different versions of Yoh). It is known that Hao can also be playable, but a Gameshark code is needed. Fortunately, as well within battle, character voices will be experienced rather commonly, in which anime cutscenes will be experienced at times - such as in the intro. Overall, it seems that Shaman King: Spirit of Shamans is the best 2D fighter of its series.

A visual novel game where you play as a few of the characters from Ranma 1/2 during a series of events that results in Ranma being held prisoner to become a monster's bride.

This is the only Ranma game on this platform and was only released in Japan. It features an original story centering on a new character, Arisa Nanjo. After Ranma Saotome's friends go missing, it is up to him to track them down. The game is a video novel which involves the player, acting as Ranma, selecting from a series of choices, such as what to do or say to someone. The results are then played out in an animated sequence. It uses a Rock-Paper-Scissors-style battle system. The characters are voiced by the original cast from the Anime series.
