Each one has a metallic collar around their neck and a PDA representing a playing card from Ace to Joker with unique special function and clear condition, which they have to fulfill before the last day of the game. Clear conditions range from "simple" ones like "Survive until the last day of the game" to more complicated ones like "Clear conditions of all players with cards that represent a prime number are fulfilled". The game's original story, involves Kazuma discovering a cursed ring that allows him to steal the underwear of others near him. He learns the only way to undo the curse would be through raising enough money. The game's "Underwear Judgment" system revolves the player controlling Kazuma in returning lost underwear to their rightful owners.

The scenario for Dawning Subaru, and The Owl lurking in the twilight. is written by Momono Zappa, who won the 67th Edogawa Ranpo Award for the novel Roukou Zanmu. Character designs, CGs, and original images are handled by U35, who drafted the character designs for the TV anime The Aquatope on White. An authentic world of mystery depicted by Momono Zappa with transparent characters illustrated by U35 come together in this new visual novel! Additionally, the theme song is sung by Kanako Itou, who is known for her work on the theme songs for Higurashi When They Cry: Kizuna and STEINS;GATE. With its mysterious vibe and fast pace, paired with Kanako Itou’s vocals, the song is a key constructor of the game’s atmosphere.
