Red Comrades Save the Galaxy is a 1998 point-and-click graphic adventure game developed by S.K.I.F. and published by Buka Entertainment. Also, the first installment in the eponymous series.
Long time ago in galaxy far away... A huge spaceship, the size of a planet was heading through the Solar System with millions of alien colonists on board. Something went wrong, and all of the sudden the alien spaceship lost control. It is yet unknown what caused the crash. However, thanks to this accident the Earth has obtained its very own satellite - the Moon. Most of the aliens died in a crash and just a bunch of them, placed in suspended animation, survived. With no one to reanimate them, these poor creatures were doomed to the eternal sleep though. It was a shot from a Russian navy cruiser Aurora main gun that signaled the beginning of the October Revolution of 1917. Drunken sailors missed the Tsar's Winter Palace and hit the Moon instead. This shot deactivated alien sleeping machines and awakened the rest of their crew. A short while after remaining aliens realized that there was only one hope for them to survive - invade Earth. While preparing the invasion, they accidentally discovered with their telescope a sign right in a middle of the largest continent. The sign with a few scratched words on it — «Backwoods is a Hub of the Earth». This shabby road sign was in a tiny godforsaken Russian village Backwoods. Of course alien commanders made a decision to begin the global invasion with capturing such an important strategic point with a mysterious name - Backwoods. Meanwhile, Russia was in a midst of Civil War and Bolsheviks were trying to clear this area of anti-communist forces. Both the front line and Ural River split the village Backwoods in two. One part of the village was somehow controlled by the brave Red Army but some remnants of the cowardly Whites were still comfortably stationed on the other side. Both parties were pretty sick and tired of fighting each other and it seemed like they were settled here for a long time. No side had a significant advantage and the end of war a distinct possibility. If it weren't for aliens, the situation was not going to change soon...

The ninth installment in the long-running Russian adventure game series, sub-titled Proletarskiy Glamur ("Proletarian Glamour"), once again follows the adventures of the titular Petka, his commander Chapaev, and the sexy Anka - all real participants of the Russian Civil War of 1918, who became the target of countless jokes during the Soviet period. This time, the trio receives an assignment to travel to the year 2150! It appears that in 2008, the USA and other countries decided to use Russia as a dumping ground for garbage. Fearing that the Russian would object such treatment of their country, the Americans used an advance technique to brainwash them, rendering them helpless. Such as the situation when the heroes arrive in New Moscow of the 22nd century, determined to save their homeland... Proletarian Glamour is a puzzle-solving adventure game. The player advances the story by talking to characters, and completing various tasks, mainly involving manipulation of inventory items. Just like the previous installment, the game is done in full 3D, both for characters and background graphics.

Quest for the Holy Joystick is a traditional text adventure and the first satirical output from the then up-and-coming zany Delta 4 Software. It spoofs the contemporary software industry and the ZX Microfairs that took place in the UK in the 80's by sending the player on a magical mystery tour all over London The player starts out at Downing Street number 5 and must take seemingly random journey on a red London bus to get to 'the umpteenth ZX Microfair at Alexandra Palace'. Along the way the player encounters numerous cultural figures as well as some of the gaming press. The game also makes excessive fun of the text adventure scene of the time. The interface is text driven with few static graphics, as it is written using 'The Quill' the parser is limited to verb / noun input.

You're stuck in a submarine with five ridicolously rich people. The submarine don't work good. What will you do? I resisted the impulse of making this a dating sim btw. Which I should be praised for. It's a game. I don't know what else to say about it. The bulk of it has been written while mildly sleep deprived.
