Mike Tyson Boxing is a 3D simulation based on one of the best-known fighters of the '80s and '90s. The game offers three main modes of play: "Vs." mode offers fast, arcade-style matches in which the loser walks and the winner stays on to meet the next challenger. "Showcase" mode allows up to eight players and eight CPU boxers to meet for rotating tournament action. In "World" mode, the player starts with a rookie fighter and guides his career fight after fight through the ranks of contenders until he finally faces the champ for the belt. Mike Tyson Boxing features over 90 different boxers and 16 world-class venues. Fighters can interact with the ring environment and blood, sweat, and bruises are graphically depicted on the characters. Scoring is based on the point system used in real boxing and a special score bar helps players keep track of how they are doing in the heat of battle.

Final Blow is an action game based around the sport of boxing. You can play the fighters in a sequence of knock-out competitions, (the computer versions also include a round-robin league). Rounds last one minute, with a short break in between them. As in the real sport, your aim is to knock your opponent down for 10 seconds, by gradually weakening him with a series of punches. You can block punches, to avoid them inflicting damage onto you. The ring is of a limited size, so players can be cornered, although the referee will intervene to break the boxers up if they become entangled in a stalemate position.

Players can compete in single matches, tournaments, and training modes using a roster of international judoka. The gameplay emphasizes throws, holds, and counters with a control scheme built around timing and positional advantage rather than fast-paced combos. Matches follow standard judo rules and scoring (ippon, waza-ari, etc.), and the presentation includes realistic arenas, commentator-style feedback, and career-style progression for improving a fighter’s skills.
