SD Gundam G Generation Over World is the PSP installation in the video game series with an original story as well as the scattered stories mode as in previous games. The player begins the game with a weak Flagship and several original Pilots and units. You then choose which stage you want to play. You will need to play the early stages in order to reveal the later stages. After you finish the stages in a chapter, you will be able to play a boss map to conclude a chapter. Then you are on to the next one. Alternatively, you can play the original story mode that will put you on a more difficult series of battles than the scatter story mode. There is three modes that show the true ending of the game if completed. Core Mode is unlocked by finishing Rank mode (Scatter Mission Mode), Overworld Mode by finishing the extra missions and Core Mode, which contains the final battle of the main saga , and Hell Mode, the final mode of the game, and shows the truth about the story of the game and serves as the epilogue of the saga and therefore, the true ending. Like the other games in the series, your unit gain XP from destroying enemies and when they gain certain level, you can upgrade them to new units. Master Pilots also returned to this game, this time they all have very powerful abilities that can really change the pace of the battles. Although this series has never been released in the West this game has a English patch available making this the only translated version of the series.

Front Mission 5: Scars of the War is the fifth in Square's Front Mission tactical RPG series. It brings the player back to a gritty futuristic world in which conflicts are waged between five world powers: the U.S.N., O.C.U., E.C., O.A.C., and the Republic of Zaftra. Such conflicts are waged with the wanzer, Front Mission-speak for mecha. Gameplay-wise, the game is a true return to Front Mission 2 roots while incorporating various features from Front Mission 1, 3, and 4. The player takes part in turn-based missions, which pit their group of wanzers against enemy forces. Old features that have returned include the ability to upgrade parts and mission branching. New features to Front Mission 5 include friendly fire and the ability to recruit new pilots.

Laser Squad is a turn-based tactics war game where the player completes objectives such as rescue or retrieval operations, or simply eliminating all of the enemy by taking advantage of cover, squad level military tactics, and careful use of weaponry. The squad's team members are maneuvering around a map one at a time, taking actions such as move, turn, shoot, pick up and so on that use up the unit's action points. More heavily laden units may tire more easily, and may have to rest to avoid running out of action points more quickly in subsequent turns. Morale also plays a factor; a unit witnessing the deaths of his teammates can panic and run out of the player's control. Including the expansion pack, there are seven scenarios in total, each one with its own difficulty settings and squad allocation Laser Squad originally came with five mission scenarios, with an expansion pack released for the 8-bit versions, containing a further two scenarios. Reaction from gaming magazines was positive, gaining it high review rating and several accolades. The legacy of the game can be seen in other titles like the X-COM series, especially the acclaimed UFO: Enemy Unknown which was also created by Julian Gollop and was initially conceived as a sequel to Laser Squad
